- GAC Motor Philippines entered a very important segment when it launched the 2023 GAC GS3 Emzoom a couple of months ago. The subcompact crossover class has become hotly contested in the past few years, and the vehicles here, with attention-grabbing design, a wide spread of tech and features, and competitive pricing, don’t look or feel as entry-level as their price tags may suggest.
Among Chinese subcompact crossovers, the Geely Coolray won our Big Test earlier this year against the MG ZS, so it’ll be the GS3 Emzoom’s logical target. yup, definitely missing the manual mode. not to mention the base and mid variants are so stripped down compared to the coolray.

Emzoom front looks like an adaptation from Transformers robots. Just see the many sharp triangular lines everywhere especially the tail lights, headlights and front skirtings.

I wonder if it's possible to do an engine braking on steep hills with no manual mode.
same concern since I usually travel dalton pass going to cagayan valley or back to qc. agent mentioned that hill descend assist works well on but you know... hehe
@neiltalosig1167 I only discovered hill descent control right after I made this comment. My concern is I do not know if the vehicle is using the brakes or engine braking slowing the car down since my concern is preventing the brakes from fading. Plus it would be nice to control the intensity of the descent.
Sameee concern! Brake pads! Haha. I think if RPM really goes around 3k above definitely engine braking. What I do kasi is I use low gears to engine brake kaya RPM goes high then slight assist with brake pedals. Hehe.
This is the only color (saltlake blue) that has blue/black theme right?

I'm pretty sure it's standard for wireless keys to not let you lock the door from the outside when keys are inside .
It wont lock if remote key is left inside

Low ground clearance which makes it cruise sole on flat roads and not for offroad.
If 190 mm is low ground clearance for you. then you are not looking for a cross over or even an SUV.
you need a pick up truck / land cruiser etc.

Saw it personally, it looks cool, but I find it to be so small. And it's a bit pricey for its size.
Not really too small for the price, if you've seen the HRV and how it's priced then you'll definitely appreciate this.
If this was only as big as a GX3 Pro then the pricing concern would be agreeable.

did you even watch the video? Because if you did then it tells you that it has a 1.5 petrol/gasoline engine.
Geely still better because transmission work way too better and suspensions works better too and the car have a high ground clearance that makes more capable to do of road

and at motion the spoiler directs the wind to the back window . so no need wipers unless you dont want to use the 360 camera and you are not moving
