Got the first batch release of this Emzoom R-Style now 4 weeks old with 2K Odo, super fast and super fuel efficient and definitely a looker, a literal headturner and that 19 inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres men, its talk of the town, the first chinese release car in the PH with tyres same as the Mustang and other high end luxury car brands and thats included in this car for 1.198M? Like WOW.
Considering getting one. Is there really no way to shift to sport mode other than via the infotainment system?

GAC is really bringing it. I am drooling for Emzoom empow emkoo and even for a classy GS4 wewewewew. stuck in a gen 2 rav4 haha

As long as I had a smooth drive I'm fine with it😁 there's only one thing that really freaks me out & bother me when I hear the exhaust pipe gargling. I had it check right away, well good thing it was just a stone that got inside the pipe. I was relieved then. I really thought there was a problem

Same, I'd probably wait for the 2nd gen or refreshed one. Lots of compromises for me with the current release.

GAC is such an underrated brand here in the Philippines. Or perhaps it's jus the way the company markets their cars, which perhaps is about to change with the new distributor at the helm.
Agree, Current Distributor of GAC is lacking in dealership distribution throughout the country. Compared mo sa GEELY na talagang aggressive ang Marketing

Review on a different angle surely gives this car a consideration. One question, though. Since shifters are not present, how do you best go with stiff / incline road? Say Baguio or Antipolo. Tyia.
How is the sunroof insulation cover holding up? It looks pretty thin and I'm worried that it might allow light and heat to permeate the cabin and offset the AC.

@@St3PdOwN2UrL3v3L No worries at all. Wala akong naging problem ever since I got it as my first car. Driving is smooth for a first time driver here. Not sure how it compares with emzoom's driving experience but GS4 seem to be focused on comfort and space. That's one of the top reasons why the current owners bought GS4 based in our group chat m. Hope this helps and hopefully you got the chance to test drive both.

I like how this car always being compared to old model coolray thats been 3 years old in the market..considering there are other vehicles out there with the same year model lets just wait for the new model coolray if ever it comes out in the PH market then compare it…on top of that this is a chinese vehicle its would be better comparing it with the other contenders in the market like japanese, korean, european and american brands…since people will still bash that knowing this is a chinese vehicle all chinese vehicle almost sharing the same bit of the vehicle..not hating on the car I do like the looks and specs of it. Also not sure why ADAS is so important considering people getting more lazy and not being attentive on the road for me the biggest plus is only the Autonomous braking in all cars because sometimes unexpected things happens on the road. But anyway good review..😊

Gac nambawan na talaga, question nalang is yung aftersales nila, matutulad kaya sila sa geely? Na sa lahat ng forums/groups na nakita ko puro reklamo regarding replacement parts etc. Sa mga owners po ng gac cars kamusta po after sales nila?

The coolray still has the best DCT tuning among chinese cars. Its still the smoothest.
The territory is jerky- almost same as the GS3 emzoom.
But this GS3 is really a looker. Almost like a fighter jet.
I test drove the next gen Territory and did not find the transmission jerky. Are you commenting based on owner’s experience?

Is this a reliable brand?
Emzoom has better fuel mileage. The new Coolray no longer has paddle shifters. If we're to compare the Coolray and the Emzoom, the R-style variant definitely outclasses the Coolray Sport, but in the base and mid variants, the Coolray still has the upper hand, if you only consider what features you're getting, not considering the price difference, engine, and fuel efficiency where the Emzoom holds sway.

Has anyone tested what would happen kapag naka adaptive cruise control ka and some dude abruptly cuts in front of you? 😊 I know having ADAS is not autopilot and the driver should still pay full attention to the road.
Yes dont need paddle shifters. Need 4 cylinder engine not 3 cylinder like coolray. I had enough of the 3 cylinder sh... sorry to say. Got my new R style last Feb . Really amazing

Gs4 is phased out. The Emkoo takes its place in the GAC lineup, at least in our market.

In GCC they have good after sales service . Throw the Resale value out of the window when you buy Chinese cars.

On a side note, the new Coolray (not yet in the Philippines) does have ADAS and 300Nm of torque will again take the SUV crown if it arrive in the Philippine. Too bad The Philippine market is still depleting lots of Coolray stocks somewhere in Turbina Calamba.

Emzoom and coolray has somewhat the same cockpit orientation. Both crossovers are a mighty fine beast.
When the new coolray 2024 will arrive in the country, with upgraded 4cyliner engine, and more new tech ang ADAS, meron nang totoong katapat ang emzoom R style.
Problem with Chinese cars, they don’t have a paddle shift. It’s really annoying. Part of the fun is the shifters
