BTW, with all these new crossovers in the market, can you guys make a comparo between Uni-T, Dashing, Emkoo, etc?
As a GAC emkoo owner i would say that the car is very good everything is perfect but the start and hazard light botton are on same place there are chances that you will press start or stop botton instead of hazard light i pressed it 2 times by mistake because of this suddenly the car stopped on the road with emergency brake. Which is very dangerous. The solution is u should use the start botton protection i searched it but i found for only for circles and as we know emkoo has rectangle on and off botton.... A request to gac pls make a protection cover. Guys if you are interested to buy this then definitely you should the car is very very good to drive and also look wise

I think sir Caco forgot to mention that the price tag indicated is for the top of the line variant. GAC Emkoo actually starts at 1.298M for the base variant. Same build, same engine, same tech with only a few features missing like the sunroof, DRLs, power tailgate, etc. For that price, I think it's already competitive with other brands, on par with Ford Territory Titanium..
that slow speed follow feature can win over a lot of buyers in Metro Manila haha. The sluggish crawl of Manila traffic always numbs my leg haha

Vs Ford Territory and UNI-T which is better?
The front reminds me of the previous gen Rav4 when you look at the drl's and how close they are to the badge and the angle they are tilted. The side, i like how the silver beltline meets the spoiler, thats a neat touch.The back reminds me of a Haval H6 GT. Im surprised the coupe roof didnt impede too much on the load space(which could have been bigger due to the size of the car). The interior is a bit form over function ex. The door handles and the physical AC tempreture controls, if youre into that, great, you probably found your next car especially if you dont have Puegot money, but for me, its too wierd. As for the fuel economy, wait for the engine to run in, Chineese engines give crap fuel economy before they are run in, after the figures come back down to earth.

Wis it were available in Jamaica. I was sold at the unique grill. ( I would do some mods to the fake exhaust ports at the rear.)
GAC isnt in the Caribbean, your closest bet to a coupe Suv like this on that island is the Haval H6 GT which is sold on the island. It has a more powerful engine and exhaust system compared to this. Or you could spend the equivalent cost of a house and buy BMW X4....
I just noticed that there's no rear wiper on this unit
problem with unique is the spare parts the natural questions is where do you get the spare parts if needed?

I love watching your channel due to your thorough review of cars. This SUV aesthetic is good and all the added extra features but I’m not quite familiar with this brand name. Based on some of the reviews by past owners seems okay but I’ll pass on this one. Good luck to all future owners.

Caco, i think turning on the hazard lights while making exterior walk arounds will add dynamism to any car you review. It will also make the car look alive when parked..
It's obvious that Caco owns an AT vehicle because he's not used to a DCT. As a DCT owned, I can honestly say it's the best transmission. Even in traffic. My leg has learned how to perfectly step on the gas that it runs 20km/h at only 1.2 RPM.

Looks good however, the reviews I've managed to find about GAC range from 2.6-3.8 out of 5, main issues being injectors, sensory problems and gearbox issues. So whilst it does look good for the price I would still worry about build quality, reliability, durability and parts availability when things go wrong.
Have you found also that they participate in Kalayaan Cup Endurance race (12hrs non stop!) and place 2nd next to Mazda
huh? would you share where you found those reviews? and what model? I actually find reviews both here and internationally really good about GAC. and I have GAC GS4 so far so good
Not sure if those handful of reviews will reflect the overall durability of all their units. Even the established brands have hiccups. GAC Toyota venture can give some people peace of mind.

The problem with cars bringing in a lot of tech sa infotainment is that they distract the driver so much from the road. You have to really direct your attention to it just to change the temperature.

Not an expert on cars or whatsoever, but I have noticed a lot of uneducated drivers (meaning no disrespect) in terms of how to use the different drive modes. For instance, I have experienced someone driving a car on eco mode while flooring the living hell out of it and complaining about its acceleration only to put it on sports mode while stuck on MANILA TRAFFIC. Knowing when to use the different drive modes will definitely give you a better fuel consumption. That’s if you know how to use your drive modes. This car has tech that is way ahead of most cars in its price range. Not using these features is such a waste.

I think it really depends on the owner, how well maintained, how it's used, where it's driven, i have a friend and an uncle who bought Navaras... my friends navarra broke daun in 3 months my uncle in 2 years...

The looks is good and unique, but I see one problem, mahirap linisan ang harapan, it takes time to clean up. For me, parang di tatagal yung porma, feeling ko malalaos kaagad. Less is more ang concept para sa akin para di madali maluma ang design.

9:10 Is it just me or the door handle is a disaster waiting to happen. It seems to be way to easy for a child to accidentally grab and pull it, especiall when trying to reposition one’s self. I know people will say, “then use the child safety lock” but admit it, when was the last time u engaged it? And even with the doors locked (regular lock) nowadays, u just pull on the handle twice to open it, 1st to unlock and 2nd to open, if I’m not mistaken since I didn’t see any physical locks. Well that’s how it is in my GCR

Someone looking at this doesnt want a boring car, those two cars are quite boring.
Pass sa plastic fantastic Corolla Cross. You can't even get the hybrid version at 1.4M.
Cross is a smaller car, emkoo is bigger than even rav4, compare it to rav 4 and not cross. My emkoo gets 7km/liter, my friends non hybrid 2.5 rav 4 gets 5.5.
For 180hp and a bigger car 7 aint bad. Even rides lexus like. So i believe its for comfort, convenience, and performance. And having adaptive cruise control and traffic jam assist takes fatigue away. Trust me a cross non hybrid aint all that tipid. Get a diesel
