Nice easy recipe. When using chicken breast I like to marinade it with cornstarch, oil, soy sauce and baking powder. Keeps it from drying out. Not necessary if using dark meat. Jasmine rice is my favorite. But never used butter until this video. Thanks for the tip. Takes the best rice (IMHO) to another level. "Everything's better with butter"!
I have loved all of your videos. My mantra has always been it's better with Butter. Never forget that margarine is one molecule from plastic. I started making my own butter and flavor some with herbs and garlic and it's yummy.
Looks wonderful, but I have the chicken or pork cooked first then fry the rice while adding seasoning; then I add corn and peas at the very last the eggs to cook in the heat as it cools. All you miss are some good pork egg rolls.
Most the fried rice I've made is fairly "Asian." I can't imagine serving Chef Jean Pierre's fried rice with Mongolian Beef, but it would make a great side dish for a lot of things. I've made plenty of risottos and pilafs, but this gives me ideas for things like Mediterranean fried rice, oh, which I see has tons of recipes online. Anyway, I'll be doing some more fried rice experiments now.
I studied cooking in my country and I've been cooking for years because I love it but since I discovered this channel I've learned so many things that I didn't know are changing the way I cook (which has improved enormously). Once he’s 90, and still cooking, maybe THEN, you can call him “OLD”‼️ Chef he’s really more like a BIG kid in his 30s‼️😂 When you’re young yourself, you think people in their 50s and 60s are actually old… Until you get there yourself! The secret to youth is not acknowledging THAT time exists, because your mentality overrides it. I am jaded, probably, because my grandmother (typical Italian grandma/fabulous cook) lived to 102, so when I hit 50, I said to myself, “that’s good, I’m only halfway to gramma!😂“, because I intend to hit a hundred too… COOKING! 😃 Whatever makes you happy keeps you young… That’s why this chef exudes youth, in my humble opinion… Many thanks for Your comment, because you triggered some good remembrances. Cheers and thanks.

Traditional? Who cares about traditional? This looks simple and delicious, as usual. Good advice to other chefs, but they have a long way to go to get to your level.👍

I have a Chicken Fried Rice recipe I've used for years. Still, this looks much easier and quicker. I plan to use some of the tips the next time I cook this recipe.
I am a great fan of yours, chef. You should also have a t-shirt that says: you can keep it for 17 years. Or, even better: measure carefully! Haha. Also this video is again a wonderful piece that I enjoyed very much. Thanks.
This was my second dish from this channel, gosh it was easy to do and so delicious. I find cooking very soothing and producing a delicious dish that was fun and easy to make good for the soul. I have never made such good rice before, it was perfect in every way. My local Chinese takeaway has just lost a customer. This dish was so much better. Thanks Chef.
I am surprised the Food Police, Fried Rice Division, has not denounced this recipe yet! Probably because they were too busy trying it out and finding it was much easier to make and just as tasty as ‘traditional’ fried rice. 😂. Ps. I made it for breakfast this morning and used peas instead of asparagus because that’s what I had. Great way to use up leftovers.
He says it isn't a traditional egg fried rice. It doesn't even try to be. But the rice is good, he used a wok, good tossing, JP could make a traditional version if he wanted to I think. But he wanted to make it french and use butter and western ingredients since that's what he had on hand. French Fried Egg Rice. And I've made it this way before, but with cooking oil and it is true. The distinct egg pieces which are a little softer and some western veggies like white onion instead of spring onion is great. Only thing I would have done differently is the garlic and ginger.

U make this recipe look easy & I'll try it. My mom used to make a pan fried spinach patty. I believe frozen spinach, egg & maybe cornstarch. Your hash browns recipe reminded me & do you have a spinach type fritter recipe to share with us. Thank you
Chef. I like soft omlette. The chinese places overcook the eggs on nuclear heat making it rubbery. I also like sprouted beans, carrots and bell peppers in the fried rice.
Uuuu, Chef Jean Pierre u just solved tomorrow nite's what to make for dinner. Can't wait to try. Substituting green peas for asparagus since it's date nite.(too pungent). Tx, always love ur recipes.

I just nominated this video for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Looks wonderful, but I have the chicken or pork cooked first then fry the rice while adding seasoning; then I add corn and peas at the very last the eggs to cook in the heat as it cools. All you miss are some good pork egg rolls.

Oh man put your crash helmet on, you'll be be needing it soon!! 🙃
@@jamesbong4928 it was a joke
Loved the disclaimer at the beginning of the video! (Nothing to see here Uncle Roger and your legion of fans/YT subscribers...😳✌🏻) Another winner, grazie Chef!
I love your enthusiasm. Thank you for all you do to make cooking fun!
U make this recipe look easy & I'll try it. My mom used to make a pan fried spinach patty. I believe frozen spinach, egg & maybe cornstarch. Your hash browns recipe reminded me & do you have a spinach type fritter recipe to share with us. Thank you
butter babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
Well, Chef Jean-Pierre
So, sad 😔
I'd tried to make the clarified butter
But, it didn't work ouT.
So, I'll keep watching to learn!
Chef. I like soft omlette. The chinese places overcook the eggs on nuclear heat making it rubbery.
I also like sprouted beans, carrots and bell peppers in the fried rice.
By all means add them. "Whatever makes you happy" 😊😁
I don't care what he cooks, I just love this hyper chef!
Exactly. I even watch when he makes something I would never make, like duck.
I hope Uncle Roger reviews master chef Jean Pierre on this recipe! (:
Uuuu, Chef Jean Pierre u just solved tomorrow nite's what to make for dinner. Can't wait to try. Substituting green peas for asparagus since it's date nite.(too pungent). Tx, always love ur recipes.
