The Fire Devil should easily be a Primal Fear. I also like to imagine that it draws most of it's power from animals cuz animals are scared of burning shit like hell.

My exact thoughts. After figuring out the death in technically Makima’s older sister than it make sense that the way she was trying to kill death was gain control of csm, erratic imperfect things and make everything great so no one fears their own death. That would significantly weaken death and let csm eat death which I can’t even fathom the effects that would have on a society but yeah, guess those were the steps behind Makima’s actions.

Yeah after all even fami want what makima wanted, use the chainsawman to kill her sisters , after all makima was trying to save the world but in the wrong way but what's wrong or right when you have to fight against death..., I'm starting to rreevaluate makima

@@AM17titannah, you're only saying that cuz you probably binged part 1 all together, just trust the process once part 2 is done, re-read it, and it'll only hit harder.
People have been saying similar stuff to part 1 as it was ongoing, and now that shit has been universally loved since it was finished.

Part 1 had iconic characters like power aki
Even though denji was developing in part 1 as well the side characters had a fair share of giving comedic moments and crazy chainsaw man type moments
But now in part 2 I think characters are less interesting and denji well he became good (which is good for a story progressing of mc but …he was crazy in part 1 which made him kind of unique from others )

Just let the story go on bud, dont make irrational assumptions that characters are not interesting, yknow Aki and Power’s characters are valued this much because of the Gun & Control Devil arc, before that there wasn’t much hype till IA arc. CSM part 2 is darker than part 1, you will get that hardcore seinin touch and not drama anymore.
@@AM17titan yeah, reading comprehension devil strikes again, I said to just trust and just wait, you'd be surprised at how many people were doubting the stuff that was shown in part 1, don't try to solve the puzzle if it's not finished yet.
I personally had a better time re-reading part 2 once all the current chapters are compiled as of rn, and it flows so much better than what you'd expect.
And characters being less interesting? Did you READ the manga? Like how is Asa not an interesting protagonist?
Like, legendary shit has been brewing up ever since the beginning, her interactions with yuko were universally loved, as it should be, and that crazy denji shit you love is still present within part 2, like his fight with the falling devil was fire, and even his intro into part 2 was awesome.
Even that one karaoke fight is goated
He also had great time being shared with nayuta, and his interactions with Asa during the aquarium scenario were great.
Like, this whole notion of part 2 being bad, those are the same type of people who again, criticized part 1 BEFORE they saw the whole picture.
Like, fukimoto has never once disappointed, not in fire punch, and not in this, bro does not have a bad track record when it comes to this shit.
Again, criticizing stuff BEFORE it's finished is acceptable, but bro, to say that part 2 in general has not been interesting just tells me that this shit just goes through their eyes without the info being processed.

Actually the reason people fear death is because it is the definition of a primal fear, there is no reason it's just there. The fear of death and the will to live is written into every living things DNA. Thats why your life flashes before your eyes, thats why your adrenaline goes up, thats why even suicidal people still struggle at the end, thats why you get sick, feel pain, and even grow.

Fujimoto proving you can't cook without Fire
I love how Fujimoto includes the global elements of the story his world building is pretty insane and detailed down to historical changes just off the twist of devils being added it really makes the world feel more real than it just being a Japan problem

I thought the same thing too with the similarity of army-building between the Zombie devil and Fire devil. I assume fewer contractors of the Zombie devil would somewhat be able to utilize ZDev’s power without losing themselves. Only when there are too many do they become traditional zombies.
Cool video but i disagree with the discord guy. People don't fear death because of the unknown. They fear death because death means you are no longer alive. No form of experience to be had. No love or warmth.
That's how i feel atleast The unknown is scary but tying that to death is a stretch. I'm afraid of death because of the world I'll leave behind.

How does Yoshidas comment about about the Death Devil in the Aquarium play into this? Did public safety intend on doing what Makima wanted? Did Makima get the idea from them?
Maybe Yoshida just wanted to plant a reason to *LIVE* in Denji's mind before all hell breaks loose, as a safety precaution for if the worst happens.
Makima was raised by them so yeah, I think she was indoctrinated to go for that goal. Kishibe alludes to this in the final chapter of part 1
Barem is also the Flamethrower HYbrid, so how does that relate to the Fire Devil. Is it just supposed to be symbolic on Fujimotos part that the guy who spread the fire thinks of himself as a flamethrower weapon?

I mean the falling devil was summoned on earth and I believe the darkness devil was also summoned in hell yet those are primal fears that haven’t died before. The primal fears are the only devils who have never experienced death if I’m correct

Darkness devil already represents the unknown.
All indications are that Asa will to turn villain on the moment that the events referent at the chicken's dream happen. Probably the part referent at the reign of mars on prophecy will to happen before of Death appears and also can appears one powerful devil referent at the King of Angolmois.
Side note i assume fakesaw man is a user of the fire devil's power cus he shows up same time yuko did and she got her powers from fire. maybe fakesaw has the greatest desire to be chainsawman out of everyone

Having Death just directly shows up and become a central antagonist is an interesting choice.
Cus if we look at the end game here, if Death does come and get defeated by Chainsaw man, the concept of death would be erased. Which is absolutely crazy to think about.

Devils powers, especially primal ones, relate to their names concept. Like Falling devil is not just literally falling but conceptually too (falling in depression making you remember traumas), Fire devil is the same thing: desire/passion is frequently associated with fire thats why he can make you tranform in what you really desire to be and the more it spreads (exactly like fire) the more it become powerful
imagine fire spreading all over/ can easily spread. That's what happened IMO. The chainsawman plague spread like fire.

It's crazy how fujimoto retcon's abilities and concepts in the world building and delivers a tictac worth of story for his audience to eat and they put on a napkin, pick up the knife and fork and start drooling. "Let's feast!"
Bro, the fact half of what happened this chapter is new concepts and we have to "assume" everything is "similar" to other instances in the manga...like people saying the chainsaw man devil spreading shit was like the doll devil...when the doll devil's entire theme is controlling things and people....but people jump to it because it's the only other instance of this happening. The fans are essentially writing the manga for fujimoto, it never makes sense and then fan videos crop up "reviewing" the manga attributing meaning and symbolism that isn't there. Almost certain fujimoto is just looking up and reading reviews of his manga chapter by chapter so he can figure out what to do next because honestly half the suggestions the western fanbase had for the plot is way better than any fetish material fujimoto would produce.
the new mangaka for berserk is doing the same thing, he's actively asking people for feedback and hoping he can gauge the audience so he doesn't fuck everything up. Fujimoto is a terrible author, semi decent at writing smut though.

yes the Chainsaw Man used by the church was a human in contract with the Fire Devil, not the devil itself. Transformation is 1 of the 2 abilities of the Fire Devil. Barem never said 'if' in the chapter. They estimate that they have around 350,000 people contracted with the Fire devil rn. Yes fire does get stronger conceptually as it spreads. More fire=More destruction=stronger fire, not in terms of heat per unit area but total energy and overall destruction.
@@khanareeb9725 alos maybe the Fire dEvil can turn things into its desired form, because fire is often accosiated with passion and its formlessness. Seems like devil powers are way more complex in terms of how they represent their concept in terms of abilites.

I was talking about the fire itself, more fire causes more destruction, but more fire doesn't mean the fire is stronger, it's just spreading and causing more destruction. But still that is probably the logic of Fire Devil's power, spreading like fire.
@@bennogb5069 I dunno about Barem honestly. But yes, the stronger the devil is the more their powers lend towards conceptual/reality altering stuff. Lesser Devils like Bat, Leech, Fox are pretty straight forward. But Snake could manifest devils it consumed. Then the Darkness Devil could take out our arms because thats the one thing we instinctively use to navigate in the dark. It could also cause organ damage by simply looking at you. Like the void staring back or something. It also had a sword. Fire is pretty much an universal natural fear, so its reasonable that its feared to such a degree that the devil will be able to manifest abilities that are based on human conception and interpretation about it. Thats also why I dont buy the theory that Pochita is not the Chainsaw Devil but something else. He is the CSD. He is just feared and strengthened to the point that he unlocked conceptual abilities regarding the unbirth/non existence since Chainsaws were originally invented to give birth. Its the fear of never existing in the first place.
