My absolute favorite thing about Mystreet is that whenever Aaron isn't able to be there for Aph, Woof, the plush HE gave to her, is always there for her in her mind. It's a little thing that is easy to forget or overlook, but Woof only talks when Aaron and Aphmau aren't talking to one another. The only time this isn't true is in lover's lane during their break-up, and that section is only 3 episodes long.

Zane's flashback was sadder than the entire season. It's unexplainable. Also, Aphmau only talks to her wolf plush when she lonely. With Aaron, she never talked to it but with him gone, that's when she talked to it.

This came out 4 years ago, so I think I’m gonna be okay when I say that I absolutely hate how Zane’s trauma is treated in Aphmau’s Year. It just seems like it’s all sorta glossed over. Like, he was under the forever potion for the longest, which meant he had to watch everything go down while being basically powerless to stop it. That has to take a toll on you mentally, but *no one* seems to even notice or even care about that. Because what little we see of Zane’s PTSD is primarily focused towards Aph! I get that she went through a lot, but she was not the only one affected by the events at the lodge! But nobody seems to care because the storyline is so focused on Aph and Aaron that they don’t even seem to think about the other characters and how it affects them. It’s only about how it affects her and Aaron. Anyways, this was a very long-winded way of saying that Zane is my favorite character and I hate that he doesn’t get the type of screen-time he deserves.

I DISAGREE- joking that is a valid point. The storyline is great, though, for first timers it would be a flawless storyline, even though I never thought of that idea myself and I've rewatched this series multiple times.

The difference in tone between the ones that went and the ones that stayed behind... There is this air of heaviness around them. Something different in the way they speak, the way they carry themselves. They're scarred. Very scarred. All of them, not just Aphmau. And that fact is made abundantly clear by the happiness of the rest. It's beautiful story telling and yet another reason I love this show so much. Massive props to the voice actors for being able to pull that off. With just their voice and the slightest bit of body acting they are able to portray this loss of innocence and repressed pain perfectly. Absolutely legendary

The difference in tone between the ones that went and the ones that stayed behind... There is this air of heaviness around them. Something different in the way they speak, the way they carry themselves. They're scarred. Very scarred. All of them, not just Aphmau. And that fact is made abundantly clear by the happiness of the rest. It's beautiful story telling and yet another reason I love this show so much. Massive props to the voice actors for being able to pull that off. With just their voice and the slightest bit of body acting they are able to portray this loss of innocence and repressed pain perfectly. Absolutely legendary
