I love how they wear their bandanas on the insecurities they have For aphmau she suffered through selflessness and anxiety as shown in Phoenix drop and stumbled on throughout mystreet, her reflection on herself comes from the thoughts she assumes everyone has about her and how she thinks that she doesn't deserve the friends she has so she wears that bandana on her head. While for Aaron it was for his eyes, obviously for the Ultima but for his hidden identity, suffering through the trauma of isolation to the point where he is forced to see under a darker light. Where he is forced to see nothing and know no one (in aphmaus year you can see she uses the bandana for a similar reason, to isolate her views of the outside she is so concentrated on Aaron's well being that her outer view is far from reach). After starting to have friends and trusting people you can see in later seasons that he opens up the bandana, he opens himself to others and it represents how he now sees a new world. They both learned a lot through one another and developed from eachother that's what makes this relationship so healthy and on the most part realistic.
When Aaron says “ you should never be alone” it reminds me of Emerald Secret, the final episodes, the name of one was “ you should (never) be alone” And when aphmau says “will you always be here for me?” It reminds me of the Emerald Secret episode that it’s name is “Always......” IS THIS SOMEHOW CONECTED?!?!
