Insertion of the inner race is way easier as the last step of the whole assembly. Just push it in from the back gently while turning it clockwise.

That's a very heavy assembly compared to the way mo old z1000 used to do it !

I'd say that could be those cylinder pawls getting stuck or being loose. Maybe the springs aren't keeping them in tension?

@@nicebigwrench8730 Hey, what are these markers on the clutch? When Im putting it back on the bike, should I care about these markers? Is there a specific way to put it back?

Hi when i go to start mine there is a load crack like sound engine dose not turn lights dim as on load, starter wire gets hot, even if the inner bit that cracks sometimes was the problem would that really lock up the engine ? another time will spin fine and start right up only got 30.000 miles on bike off road for 11 years but ive put it back on and done 150 miles without issues untill a few weeks now whats your take on it...

Sounds like your starter cables are frayed or corroded. You should inspect those first.
