Ducati 750S starter motor repair and refinishing

That magnet has to go in the case a certain direction or it will nullify the current flow. Important to mark things such as magnets whenever you remove them to reassemble them correctly later on.

The grease on the collector side is not good because it will get warm and slip into the collector and buildup of dust and carbon will cause it to burn eventually 😢

Next go around try marking the outer cases for proper alignment on reassembly.
