@patriceagulu8315 Our Lord JESUS died for all sinners including myself , yourself and all of us, straight, homosexuals , rapists, adulterers, murderers, liers etc...None of these sins should be a matter of blessings but rather a matter of repentance and conversion so that the blood shed by our Lord JESUS may wash these sins away and open the door of heaven to us. The Pope as a leader, a shepherd should encourage us to abandon all our sinful behaviour; not encourage us by blessing a couple which is inherently sinful and thereby encourage the participants of this sin to continue into their sinful behaviour. Salvation shoul be the ultimate goal for all of us, not pleasing the world. God bless us all in JESUS Name. (CDF "Persona Humana" paragraph 8, CCC Paragraph 2357)

As a catholic you should know the intention of the Pope. The blessing of same sex couples is not for their relationship but for their health, guidance and protection. Not tolerating sinful acts. Every people who go to church that didn't confess for their previous sins are in state of mortal sin though still receive the blessing of the priest through participation in the mass. We are blessed by the priest mainly to remain holy and be guided.

You should not be misled by schismatics. Everyday in life a lot of us are sinners and don't go to confession that makes us living in sin. The blessing as described by the Pope is only for righteous reasons. The Pope will never bless sin rather bless sinners for good health, needs in life and other things which are acceptable to God. Jesus came down from heaven for the sinners to save them so the church and the priest will never deny blessing a sinner who is maintaining good relationship with God and be guided by the church built by Christ.

Catholic here. I hope the Pope hears this. Thank you for speaking up. It is harder for us as we do not want to be disobedient to God's shepard on earth but we can tell when something does not sit well with the catechism.
It's not about being a catholic Or an orthodox, if it is against biblcal commands it is wrong.

You should not be misled by it. As a catholic learn the intention of blessing of same sex persons is not blessing their relations since it is a sin. They are just being blessed for good health and wisdom so sooner God will guide them to realize their sins and repent. Priests cannot and are not allowed to deny asking of blessing as long as the blessing is still something acceptable to God
You should know as well that in our Church the Pope cannot and will never be mistaken as it is guided by the holy spirit.

I am in the diocese of Tyler and when our wonderful shepherd, Bishop Strickland was cancelled by Francis it was a warning to all who want to challenge Francis. Therefore,I am grateful to this bishop who has chosen to speak in humility and charity to the pope and can't be cancelled by the vatican. Praise be to God

Courageous and most revered Bishop Mari, I think we as Catholics have got to a stage where we now have to follow what out Baptist or non denominational Christian brother follow as authority for our faith rather than the Pope - the Holy Scriptures. If the Pope himself is authorising those things that are against the teaching of the Holy scriptures we can see clearly where these teachings are coming from - not from God. Therefore there is no need to follow Pope or any human being blindly because Pope's come and go. Some are Holy and saintly. Other's authorise the opposite of what Christ himself has said in the scripture's. In summary if you follow any man rather than Christ blindly then you may be misled and disappear into oblivion like the children in the Pied Piper of Hamlin

Sadly, there is often ambiguity in what our current Pope says; which is what causes division and misunderstandings. Whether intentional or not this ambiguity and other decisions that are being made has and does allow sin to enter the church. I am only 6 years new to Christianity and I converted to Roman Catholicism after 3 of those years when I realized how incorrect other teachers/pastors were in their teachings. And how people were not getting fed correctly. I am much happier as a Catholic. I do pray for Pope Francis everyday and for God's church that needs the direct truth spoken at ALL times. There is no room for side talk or ambiguity when you are leading a flock. Yes, Jesus loves us. But the truth is what sets up free. The Lord is our judge. He judges us out of love and we must follow His commandments out of our love for Him.

Never doubt Pope Francis he knows what is doing by the guidance of the Holy Spirit… the giving of blessing to same sex couples doesn’t a blessing for their civil union or marriage union but rather a blessing of God they need as individuals just like you at times you need a Priest to give you blessing to make you feel better and renewed or reconciled with God because we do need God’s grace and blessing in our lives it doesn’t matter who you are and what you are but God desires love for all with no limitation

Mari Mari speaks rrpeatedly of his own humility.here(& his loving openness to all in Christ) but I find the context with anything Pope Francis has actually said (not press interpretation) somewhat confusing. As far as I'm aware the Church ,Catholic & Orthodox, welcome those Christians who live chaste lives in avoidance of sexual immortality due to any same sex (or other) inclinations or temptations. Pope Francis has, as far as I've been able to discover, only spoken of a blessing for such dedication of the people/Christians concerned to take up.such chaste lifestyles. - There are restrictions on what the Pope should & possibly even more limitations, LITERALLY, on what the Pope CAN say. My understanding is that the Pope, quite rightly, couldn't say what he's been falsely accused of even if he wanted to (which he has already denied, didn't he?). I know most of what he ever says seems to be greatly distorted & often simultaneously in two or more completely contradictory ways. Perhaps Bishop Mari Mari as "a little father" in a position of influence himself show some due care in possibly misrepresenting Pope Francis on occasions. God bless & reconcile the Catholic & Orthodox churches.

Throughout scripture, we see examples of individuals who were sinful but still received blessings from God. It is important to note that God's blessings are not based on our own merit or righteousness, but on His grace and love for us.

The papacy has thought to change times and laws before. The 4th Sabbath commandment was removed, and not to have idols. You're right Bishop no one has the power to change Gods' law, not a jot or tittle, as scripture says. Changing even one word of Gods' brings about severe consequences and punishment. The ten commandments written by Gods' own hand in stone, and as God says, I am the same then, now and forever. Amen. Preach it Bishop, but tell all the truth, not just the pet popular ones.
