I’m actually on a plane flying home after seeing “Maybe Happy Ending” on Broadway. I It was perfection. My daughter and I always fly into New York to see Darren whenever he performs on Broadway. I promise it’s money well-spent. I SO recommend this musical. It’s funny and sweet and everyone else who performs in it is so flipping talented. The actor who plays James Choi is perfect, even if he’s by himself reading a book on stage - if you know, you know! I would have liked to see it a second time. 💖💖💖
Saw this on Saturday and it is unquestionably the most delicate, heart-swelling musical on Broadway right now. I cannot express the feeling this musical left me with. How did they strike such a tender balance between humor, science fiction, romance, and an unforgettable narrative? The magic of careful and honest art making is on display in this piece. Do not doubt yourself, just go.
I've been listening to the Korean version on repeat now I've been listening to this one on repeat as well! It's amazing that there's a Broadway adaptation now and they kept the cast Asian American. I hope they invite Jeon Mido and Jung Moonsung to their premiere. ❤️🙏

such an amazing show, it feels like the set is a character in itself. i don’t remember the last time i saw a musical that made me feel such a big range of emotions in only 100 minutes. they’re getting a tony

Loved the korean, but I can comprehend the english better. Hope they will release the songs at least, sincerely, someone far away from broadway and wouldn't be able to watch this
I still haven't gotten to actually see the entire show, but I have listened to the entire score, and honestly, it feels to me as though the "AI Robot" deal could be effortlessly interchanged with just about anything. This feels like the only motivation for even slapping on the Robot skin is because AI and Robotics are the hot ticket buzz words right now, and they are skinning that over an otherwise generic by the numbers love story. Like if they weren't telling you all the time that they were robots, would you even know that? Swap out "Battery dying with a broken charger" for just about any incurable illness, set it anywhere else, same exact story. I hope when I see it finally that I am wrong. I really really do. Just those hopes are not very high. Right now, feels like High School Drama Club level.
For some reason media (movies, shows, books) keeps pairing white men and Asian women. They even lowkey had to put “happy ending” in the name of this play? Iykyk
@@MissusCoco he's like a a quarter (mom isn't full filipino). I wouldn't have pointed any of this out if they hired someone asian passing (like Andrew Koji), but he obviously is very white passing and presents as such
