@@Shadowfall_TV Honestly i've been begging for these basic breakdowns for PvP for years. nobody really learns the game unless they watch streamers so having this kind of content is Amazing.'
Yiss! This is my preferred role so it's the guide I've been most looking forward to, and as usual I wasn't even close to being disappointed. Not sure if I can think of a hidden OP sidenoder, but I'd probably list your Virtuoso and Catalyst builds, in part because people atm seem to not be playing these classes. For your upcoming Roamer guide, I'd be keen for thoughts on when it's good to plus your sidenoder and when it's okay to leave them in a 2v1.
Hey Bob! Specter is quite strong on sides and can kill meta builds like Hammer Catalyst when played well. Virtuoso is extremely difficult to kill and can win a lot of matchups over time on sides but it's hard countered by Bladesworn. Untamed can also do well on my trap untamed build (type !trapuntamed in my chat @twitch.tv/Blindside_TV to pull up the build link). Spellbreaker is generally fine as a side noder if you can land your tethers and greatsword f1s often. Fire weaver is an extremely tanky spec that can win a lot of matchups over time even in the EoD meta. Mechanist and Vindicator are also o.k. on sides but they are slightly on the weaker side at the moment. Hope that helps!
Another awesome vid, love your content style. Is there a good place to find a specs winning/losing match ups and best ways to maximize your play for those matchups?
Thanks Scott! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I will make matchup and mechanics videos in the future. In the meantime, if you want to stop by the streams at night and ask anything you're curious about, I'll be happy to answer :)
That’s great looking forward to it! For side noding it seems extra important and it’s sometimes hard to find good info. Your stream is great I catch it whenever I can!
Damn, it should be mandatory for people to watch your guides first, before entering ranked. Just make them a cutscenes when entering hotm and the game would feel better. :) As for question of the day, honestly condi berserker used to be a really nice niche pick! Mace shield, sword torch, rabid amulett with defense + discipline. Good sustain, some cleanse + stab and great vs low cleanse or high CD cleanse builds
Yeah the new player experience could definitely use some work in PvP! If Anet partnered some PvP content creators it would be easier to teach people for sure. It's been so long since zerker was meta, maybe it'll get some buffs in the June patch :D Thanks for the support!
I'm waiting the patch to get back to pvp, until then I'm consuming all the theory to get crushed in pratice later haha. Jokes aside, awesome content as always! I wish I could answer the question of the day, but I think I didn't play enough to find any hidden OP sidenoder at that time.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the videos! For the example, are you thinking about a full match of me playing one of the specs I talk about? Or did you have something else in mind?
MAKE THIS MAN A PARTNER> GIVE HIM MONEY FOR THESE LOVELY GUIDES>
Haha maybe one day Flamespire :) Thanks for the support!

Yeah I noticed there weren't many good resources for learning PvP. I hope people enjoy the videos, and thanks for the support as always Flamespire! :D
Dude you have a way with guides, thank you for existing!
Another excellent addition to the Beginner Guide Series. Thank you again
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the support Aaron! :)

Virtuoso and Cata are definitely sleeper picks! Thanks for the suggestion, will put that in the next guide! :)
Thank you so much for this man! I started playing thief and have no idea how to roam and side mode well! So this really helps!
Hey Noble! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the support! :)
Hey Blindside, what would u say are the current best Sidenoders except for Cata and Bladesworn?

i actually played against a scary good hammer catalyst sidenoder the other day
Hammer catas can hit REALLY hard in fire attunement, I got two shot by one the other day with a hammer 4 hitting me for 8k+
