We made our own feedlot!

  • For our operation it makes sense to have a feedlot since we are feeding grain with our hay during the winter months. While we could feed grain inside the barn it is simpler for us to feed outside the barn as we can keep the sheep and lambs separated from us while we pour the grain. If we didn't keep them separated from us they would constantly push into our legs and push us over often.

Sloan express makes a bale cutter knife. Looks like it would be a big help getting net wrap off. I believe the price is around 31 bucks.

I have seen them, have you used them before? I haven't had one around us to see in action or here feedback from it.

@@FreedomFarmsMo I used one years ago. But this one has a hook so after you cut it you can pull the net wrap off. I liked it though

It has been a very good use for them, wait til you see the panels we made to replace them in the barn.
