Can't wait for this channel to properly pop off, the quality is amazing. Also I'd love it if we could get more videos on the backyard aquaponics episode, the host was so good.
It's so important that people see videos like this; proper farms, caring farmers and created by groups with no agenda. There is a growing problem of people becoming so detatched from where their food comes from, then they watch videos like Dominion and they get a scewed view of what farming is. It just creates hatred toward small scale farms and the agriculture industry in general. Great video
No respect for those who murder innocent sentient creatures for pleasure and greed. Using and enslaving other animals is deeply immoral and unjustifiable.
I just want to say how much I love this channel. You put out some of the best videos I've seen on RUclips. You work with truly inspiring topics and great people and I think it's awesome what messages you're putting out. Each video I see inspires me a little more to achieve my dreams and live a life that Inspires others as well. Your videos are beautiful and the quality is above and beyond. I hope you get as much enjoyment making these videos as I do watching them. I can't wait to see what you put out in the future and I wish you all the best! Everyone who works on these videos rocks!
Just found this channel through an old video, had a blast watching nearly all of them coming lastly to this one you uploaded the day i found you! Glad you guys are still active, got my subscribe!
These are my kind of people. I grew up with these guys. These people and their hard work are how I feed my family. Upmost respect for these families. Thanks again paragraphic, another amazing film!
Nice video man I grew up on and around farms and ranches here in south eastern Colorado for my hole life it's sad people are trying to get people like us small town farmers and ranches that have cattle shut down
It’s great to se cattle eat gras like cows are built to eat, not corns. My sons are reading The Omnivores Dilemma at school, what Pokey Feeders doing for in cows to eat corns which make cows gut sick and the by product of cow manures from rations those corns are breeding grounds for deadly bacteria, such as E-coli. We need more farmers like you in America. Farmers.
What a wholesome guy. Educated to the bone in his profession. I hope what he said about the corporate farm and local farm carry real weight to people since it is annoying. People should regulate the corporate farm than the local farm and not the the opposite.
large portions of america don't truly have grasslands paddocks or they have a low growth area where a few hundred head of cattle can easily devastate the natural fauna down to dirt.
Have you particularly considered with a small number of developers grand:constructing a small wind natural inter graded Windmill;and Oxogen collection center on your cattle company and in planes time maybe considering building a manufacturing factory that “builds an composes;” “ Keurig’” style ethanol and or diesel fuel propane’s and or butane’s in a skilled unit approximately the size of two John Deere tractors 🚜
This type of food production is incredibly resource intensive. Only works in a country with endless petroleum resources. Cool video but not a model for the future.
What's going on with the US? Why the heck does he feel the need to defend his livelihood multiple times through out the video? It's an honest living, period.
I usually really like this channel but the push at the end that "most cattle farmers are ok" and we should deregulate is just insane misinformation! Just because this guy is aggrieved, doesn't mean we should let off the hook the VAST MAJORITY of the cattle industry! We can democratize small business farming AND go after corporate industrial meat production.
cattle belong in green pastures as they are designed to eat grass. Having them live in dung and urine-soaked dry dusty dirt is bad for their hooves and in which they breathe dirt. get back to the natural healthy pastors and the meat will be full of health. i get my beef from a local farm that is pastured and the best beef i have eaten from the DDT days.
Hi Paragraphic, I love your channel! I have found every video educational, but I felt like this video deviated from the norm. Up until 13:45 was interesting, however after 13:45, seemingly out of nowhere, a very brief discussion began regarding American Ag, policies, regulations, misinformation, media, irony, corporate farms, family farms, that seemed completely out of place and had no direct connection to the rest of the video. I think these discussions are important to have, but with no supporting journal articles, personal anecdotes, comparable events in other countries, or 5-10 more minutes to expound on these issues, I felt the last 2 minutes of the video had no substance and made me question the approach Mr. Harrington is providing to change the world. Looking forward to the next video.
@@SpendingWastefulTime The other reply already said but yea letting them graze, not just in fields of grass but with diverse range of crops. By managing the contour of the land you can shape it so water is retained more easily and with levels of cover (canopy, ground cover, shrubs etc) you can create more something like a forest that enhances the soil and land and produces huge quantities of biomass. The biomass can be all things which the cattle can consume as feed. In fact there is lots of research showing that 'trampling' from cattle can help plants grow better anyway. I am not specifically cattle farmer and im sure there are lots more. Also using naturally made fertilizer and pesticide such JADAM methods is cheaper/better. This will produce healthier, happier cattle which will in turn be better for us to eat. Lots of the meat you're getting at the supermarket the beast might have had tumors or abscesses in other areas of its body that were basically just sliced off. I have nothing against this farmer and what he's doing. His farm is clean and his animals look well cared for. I just think that farming in general kinda has to evolve or else we will degrade the land more and more until we are having to insert massive quantities of chemicals into the basically desert soil so it can grow anything at all. Not ideal and if something fails in the supply chain (e.g. can't get your shipments of feed) then you can't produce.

You know.... what he said at 12:00 really does apply to today's humanity and 'leaders'. Wise words.
Nothing quite as relaxing as cows in slow motion 🎥

I would love to see a 100% grass fed, not grained finished, paddock raised beef video! It would help show the difference and it's just as interesting.
I can always appreciate those who don’t feed their livestock garbage. Wish a lot more farmers would think like you.

Do most cows in America not live in grass paddocks ? I live in nz so all cows are always on grass so it’s interesting to see 😊
large portions of america don't truly have grasslands paddocks or they have a low growth area where a few hundred head of cattle can easily devastate the natural fauna down to dirt.
The majority of cattle operations are not utilizing grass paddocks in the US
No more injecting our food with randomness! Nice.

Too bad the cattle are vaccinated. What a great place and feed program for the cattle!!
Poor animals.
We should get to see some tax records from these channels with propaganda videos on dying subsidized toxic industries

Permaculture is the farming of the future. Nothing against him but his farming model isn't sustainable and isn't resilient.
what are your suggestions in farming cattle sustainably ?
@@SpendingWastefulTime Grass fed open range, minimal pharmaceutical need
