@@TALDR27 To be frank both ways work just fine as long as you get the groove.
But I wrote that before someone with more attention to detail comes to me complaining I'm playing wrong - it kinda sounds like I'm saying it's supposed to be played like that when it's not, really. It's not a rule

Trust me you can play this song in standard tuning. That high E string is completely unnecessary on the G chord and Malcom often plays G and A notes as bar chords on those top stings. Makes a huge difference
