Exploring Alcatraz after dark!

We've lived in San Francisco our whole lives and never been to Alcatraz, so finally decided to get tickets for the night tour! I definitely recommend doing this at night as it feels more eerie and the fact that you can wander around without having to follow a tour guide makes it more exciting.
Make sure to do the audio tour as it was VERY interesting and explains the history of Alcatraz in a documentary style complete with sound effects.
If you would like to book a night tour, make sure you book it at least a month or so in advance as they don't occur very often and tend to sell out pretty quickly.
