I went to Salem, Massachusetts twice and also attended the witch trial museum in which they said that women and men were falsely accused of witchcraft simply so the person accusing them could take over their property and land.

I am from Mp but I lived in chattisgarh because of my father's job. There now a days also specially "Girls" are beated openly . I have seen my own friend who was facing all of these things and she was restricted to go out of her house.. and the tromatising part is one even cares, they are like."it is all okay,unke Ghar ka mamla hai. Tum ko kya karna hai " and no one even try to stop them..

Totally agreed with all the things that you guys said.... and also i've saw in the series named Outlander where they show lil bit part like this where characters are female and they know how to use herbs as medecines... and for that they are stated as witch and also they are forced to accept that they are the witches they were brutally beaten actually in that series they show this concept in very detialed manner
