Please do a video on the old Appalachian League and the MLB Draft League. All these teams received the short end of the stick when MLB pulled the rug out on them (my opinion). Trenton had a AA Eastern League team. Frederick had a High A league team. I am surprised they didn't sue MLB like Staten Island and Tri -Valley did (you did not mention that). Great ball parks despite what MLB did to them. Awesome videos. You are one of the few people I know who go to Fargo on vacation. Nice town.
My first job in broadcasting was in Great Falls in 1985. Back then the team was affiliated with the Dodgers, and were known as the Great Falls Dodgers. Saw quite a few games there. It was a short-season league, only 76 games, and summers are pretty short in GF. Great Falls is off the beaten path, and is a military base town, and there wasn't really too much to do. So going to the ballpark was a nice respite.
As a resident of York County, PA; I wanna thank you for the kind words about The Revolution and their park! It's a wonderful place to catch a game! I was there for 2 of their 3 league titles and let me tell ya something, the people go nuts when they are winning! If you have not been there, please come check it out! Downtown York has plenty of cool places to check out before and after the game!
I just love your ballpark videos and have shared them with so many of my baseball geek friends. I love the minor leagues despite what MLB has done, the independant leagues and summer leagues like The Cape Cod League are really what baseball is about. Thanks for all you do!
The view of the Wasatch Mountains in the backdrop for Odgen's Lindquist Field, with the recently rebuilt Ogden LDS temple also visible, especially at night, is uniquely UTAH.
Bro, thank you for this video. My wife and I have a map for all 30 MLB stadiums in the country and you out a pin on the stadium map icon for each one you visit. But I recently started pinning a different-colored pin on states I've caught minor league/summer ball games at and need to fill up quite a few states. I'll be looking to visit many, if not, all of these stadiums with my family moving forward!
An absolutely terrific video, Cody. I could suggest a few additional ballparks in the Atlantic League and the Frontier League if you do another one of these…
Might go up to Hagerstown since Frederick, MD’s Spire City Ghosthounds is taking the year off because the Atlantic League requires a balance schedule, there’s still the MLB Draft League Frederick Keys that play there at Nymeo Field this season. Named after Francis Scott Key who’s buried in the Cemetery across the Street from the ballpark.
How do you leave out Bosse Field in the Frontier League? It’s the first municipally owned sports stadium and the third oldest baseball stadium in continuous use in the US. Plus, it was used in filming A League of Their Own. The entire state of Indiana has a great mix of ballparks from new/modern (Indy, Ft Wayne, South Bend, Lafayette, Kokomo) to historic (Evansville, Huntingburg)
Fuse Distract Stadium/ Caramont Health Park should be on here it’s a great stadium. Delicious food and a train track running right behind the left field wall
17:34 I have to correct you there about no other ballpark having their mascot living in its natural environment. The Boise Hawks (also in the Pioneer League) ballpark is a stones throw away from the Boise river. They have a hawk nest in their outfield very similar to that Osprey nest that has a couple hawks living in it.
When I saw the title of the video I expected to see Regency Furniture Stadium, where the Blue Crabs play, but...yeah those other ALPB ballparks are better. Lol.
Crazy story about where the Yall's name came from. When the water tower was completed in 1973, the city painted "Florence Mall" on it because it was built right by the I-75 exit next to that mall. But, ooops, the state attorney general office said taxpayer funds cannot advertise a private business, and the city of Florence would be fined so much per day until the word "Mall" was removed. But any contract for more than $5,000 has to be bid on, and that plus the painting work would take about 40 to 45 days. No local painter said they could paint over "Mall" for less than $5,000, so they mayor said how 'bout turn the M to a Y for less than 5 grand. Deal, one painter said. That stopped the hemorrhaging of fine money, and the mayor figured the city would paint over the rest in coming weeks, but the sign quickly caught on.
The cleburne railroaders have 2 half basketball courts in the outfield right by the away teams bullpin so you can play basketball and watch the away team bullpin
Hey, Cody. Was wondering where you get your photos from to use in videos like this. I'm working on a video essay on minor league ballparks rn that I eventually want to post on RUclips. Do you use Google Images, stock photos, do ball clubs and/or fans provide you with stadium photos? Can't really find an answer online. Thanks and great job again!
14:12 I’ve been to many Raptors games and I can say in my biased opinion (because I’m from Ogden) that it’s the best ballpark in all the U.S. 😊. Seriously Cody you should see an Ogden Raptors home game. Ogden is unlike any crowd in baseball.
Glad you enjoyed your trip! We’ll be happy to have you back at Newman whenever you find yourself in Fargo again!
A comment from the Actual FMRH RUclips account!! Amazing. This made my day. Mama we made it

I broadcasted in the Atlantic and Frontier Leagues for six years and worked briefly for the Missoula Osprey in 2019. Great video down memory lane.

I seem to remember you're something of a Long Island Ducks fan; am I mis-remembering that?

Florence was the closest park to me that played live baseball in 2020. One of only 2 games I attended that summer.

Check out Kokernot Field in Alpine Texas
Home of the Alpine Cowboys in the Pecos League
Wow you forgot the Long Island Ducks in the Atlantic League.
Love my Southern Maryland Bluecrabs

It is HIGH on my ballpark wish-list. Gorgeous park.
You missed the best park in the American association in haymarket park, by far the best playing surface in the league
Dirty Birds mentioned!
I wish you could have added their logo for each team
lol I was hoping you would try to pronounce the city that the Lake country dockhounds are in
Between that pronunciation and the French-Canadians words I would have been WRECKED, lol
no way you forgot Clover Stadium & Clipper Magazine Stadium. Those are some of the best MLB partner ballparks I’ve been to
What about the Rocky Mountain vibes? Aren’t they something like the highest ballpark in the country?
I enjoy the minor leagues much more than the majors.
MLB Partner Leagues. Does that mean they are or aren't affiliated with Major League teams?
It’s partnered in the sense that MLB can purchase the contracts of players from these teams with a lot less hassle than from other independent leagues
What u dont like the schaumburg boomers in the frontier league. We lead the league in attendance
What about the Rocky Mountain vibes? Aren’t they something like the highest ballpark in the country?
