    Hello, I finished making my "Impossible Ring" yesterday. I used balsa wood and finished it with faces of playing cards on all sides and a Joker on the front sliding panel. As for the workings, I used a few very strong circular magnets in addition to the "flap" which catches the ring that is dropped into the top of the cabinet. It works like a charm, and is one of my favorite magic props that I have made in my 47 years of being a hobbyist. Thanks again for sharing the video instructions on how to make it! Cheers!

    A wonderful illusion with a simple solution, but this simplicity is what fools us. Excellent! I will be constructing this for sure! I've seen the exact same illusion selling for $200 Canadian. Thank you, and I have subscribed to your channel.

    Don thank you for all you do on your RUclips videos. I made this with “foam board”. It’s about 3/16 thick and it comes in all colors and easy to cut.

    This video is perfect. First the effect or the performance, then the construction and finally the explanation. The black rod shows very nicely against the red backgrounds. I would paint the exterior in some other color rather than black.
    By the way. Even I don't like card tricks.

    Looks like an odd variation of Kenard’s Mystery Box! Great effect though!

    I had no idea how it was done until you showed it. My devious mind is now thinking of a way to dispense with the opening wedge. I'm thinking you could use the pushing down and pulling up of the front (which would have a cavity) to move an arm out to position the skewer cog and open a section to throw the other cog in to. I just like the idea of not having to hide part of the mechanism from the audience. That's why I liked your cube that changes a paper into paper currency - you can see everything and the mechanism is built inside the device (in that case a false bottom and magnets in the top).

      Don't teach Magic on the internet! The first rule of magic is a magician never Reveals His secrets! And it's getting harder and harder to perform when 6-year-olds are saying oh I've seen that on tiktok, if you are a real performer that's getting paid thousands of dollars you will be upset about this

    Thank you for this video. I've seen this done on a much smaller scale in another video, but I very much appreciate you making it in a size more in liking for a performance in front of a group of people.

    • @davidshareefChTPhD

      You will never be able to do this in confidence in front of someone, these people are coming on here and ruining magic if you wanted to know how it's done you should have went to a magic store. But these amateurs are out here destroying Magic for likes on RUclips

    • @johnedgemon1184
      @johnedgemon1184 2 года назад

      @@davidshareefChTPhD Actually, I disagree - heavily. If showing how magic is done was destroying magic, then there would be far, far fewer magicians than there are now, as all magicians would be protecting their secrets as if they were the end-all-be-all of existence. Also, if showing how tricks are done is destroying magic, then magic would have been fully destroyed after about 3-4 years of the Magic: exposed series with the masked magician giving away all the secrets (just for ratings). If anything, showing how these tricks are done, forces the real magicians out there to step up their game to keep ahead of the crowds that are learning the secrets. The magicians can't keep doing the same old tricks for their entire career. Meanwhile, the minor magicians (like me), can still learn magic, despite the fact that we don't have large sums of money to apprentice with a master magician or travel long distances to a magic shop, or even pay exorbitant prices on some of the more "impactful" effects and can still put on a decent show for smaller crowds. So, yeah, I heavily disagree with you.

      @@davidshareefChTPhD Nonsense. He has not revealed how my purchased items function, I own many. He only reveals how HIS OWN props work. There was a time when ALL magicians invented and made their own props and tricks. They couldnt just buy them as we can today. Educate yourself.

    I just found this channel, nice tricks you have. For this one, it might be neat to make the truck face some form of funnel so the actual ring tunnels to the correct spot. The hardest part is droping it hard enough without falling through but i think with a bit of clever design could be done. Like a thin card to stop it at the right place but easily bends out of the way when you pull the front off of it. But very nice gimmics you have.

    Very nice! I'm guessing the Kenard box only uses 1 ring, it always looks like they tilt it until the ring is against the side then tilt the stick and pick it up, can you confirm that? Anyone?

    Hi and thanks for your educational and informative channel. A suggestion - rather than use inches and the exact metric conversion, tidy up both sets of numbers, ie 3" is about 75mm and 7" is about 180mm. Unless there is a need for a very precise measurement. Keep up the great work.

    Use a Chinese coin with hole. Chop stick pokes through. Box can be decorated as "The Dragon Box".

    You could also use a magnet on the back, and a metal ring :)
    Rather than a box

    ** There are 2 identical rings , the front part part which he took out to show us the inside of the box had flap or pocket within its down side which recieve the ring he throws into the box
    ** while the other ring is hold by slit made into the flap when he passes the rod he make sure the rod passes through the other ring
    ** i was kinda curious why he didnt show the back of the front cover

    I GOT IT SO SPOILERS.....
    IF YOU DONT WANNA KNOW GO PAST .......
    You can hear the ring he drops hits wood. Look where he grabs the front panel and where his hand covers the exact same part he grabs.
    There is a pocket on the front panel with a slit in it holding 1 ring in the rods path. There are 2 identical rings. The panel comes out so that when he puts the rod through the slits it goes through the middle of the ring thats in the slit on the front shield. The ring he drops, drops into the pocket at the front, and he lifts it up to reveal that

  • @BronyNumber4096
    @BronyNumber4096 Месяц назад

    Yeah, that's going to be the hardest part: calculating exactly how wide the flap needs to open for all three holes to line up.
    Obviously, the larger the hole in the ring, the more leeway you have; so, you must be a mathematical genius to calculate it for those gear wheels.
