- A shipment of Abrams tanks has arrived in Ukraine - eight months after the Pentagon ordered them and sooner than officials expected. The Defense Department in January delivered nearly three dozen M1 Abrams tanks to help Ukraine fight off invading Russian forces. “This is the first phase of Abrams that has arrived,” Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said Monday. “But in terms of numbers or movement on the battlefield, that's something I'll let the Ukrainian side talk about.”
Pentagon officials did not specify how many tanks were delivered but promised in January that Ukraine would receive 31 Abrams tanks. “Abrams is already in Ukraine and is preparing to reinforce our brigade,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a post on the Telegram messaging app. “I thank the allies for fulfilling the agreement.”

The only thing that is true about this is that Ukraine received Abrams M1 tanks, 41 of them. 7 of them are total losses so far. All others were withdrawn from the front line to avoid destruction by drones, mines and artillery. The German Leopard tanks I and II, the PzH 2000, the anti-aircraft tank “Gepard” and the British “Challanger” were also withdrawn from the front. The risk of them being destroyed in the front line during a front line operation is simply too great. Of the 14 PzH 2000 that were delivered to Ukraine in the summer of 2022, 4 were already not ready for use. One of them was a total loss as it burned out for reasons that are now unknown. The other three had engine problems and defects in the electronics and electrics. The "Cheetah" is hardly used at all because the 35 mm ammunition is hardly available anymore. The German Leopard tanks have to be sent to Poland and Lithuania for maintenance and repairs. Germany has no free capacity to be able to additionally repair this technology.

Soweit ich die Russen kenne, werden sie auch diese Panzer " verarbeiten" wie z.B. zu sehen ist unter " Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Force": da sind die Panzer der Deutschen aus dem 2. Weltkrieg zu einer Cathedrale verarbeitet. Das ist dann noch nicht so arbeitsintensiv wie bei Waschmaschinen und im Übrigen auch ergiebiger....
