Other spiritual teachers tell us to be present and accept the moment without offering context and understanding - they give us instructions without offering deep insight. That's just nonsense created by the Theosophical Society. I could claim that Jesus was in Scandinavia before he started preaching, and there would be as much evidence as there is for India-none. Even if there are similarities in some practices, that doesn't mean they originated in India. Some ideas could have been developed independently.
