Flex Seal has some great products! That flex seal tape is excellent. And that reseal was great for the roof! And I love that your social media handle is on the side of the RV. Great advertising!
Yeah, we wondering about doing it, but it's also a nice way to connect with other people on the road! An easy opening for meeting people in the campgrounds.
Liquid rubber sealant - there’s no silicone in it right ?? You really push, recommend and have inside contacts with @FlexSeal. Please ask this question
These looks quite reliable products for much needed fixes for RV.The varied uses of them on many type of fixes, is so convincing . Thks for sharing it with us.
Thank you for the tip. We were going to scrap the roof, scab the beams the whole nine with the rubber and all. I think we will give Flex Seal a try. Did you scrap your roof first? We have a 96 Allegro we are renovating. Yours is obviously newer and look like a fiberglass or hard top
You bet! Glad you found the video helpful. Ours is a 2011 Keystone Cougar. Original roof was EPDM. We did not scrap the roof, but did make sure to clean it well and then let it completely dry before we did the reseal. Here's a video of the full process (ruclips.net/video/MyCh-sXdjuk/видео.html). Best of luck and let us know if you have any other questions!!
OMG, I didn't know RVs require so much maintenance. It's like a house! I have been thinking about getting an RV but now I am not so sure. But seeing great products like Flexseal would definitely make maintenance easier. I love the flex tape! Such an easy to use product!
Definitely as much, if not more maintenance than a house, depending on elements and how much you travel. Some roads are super rough on the rig. Thank goodness for Flex Seal!

awesome my friend. Thank you very much, wish you a lot of health and success
Wow what a great product!! You presented this so well Melanie!! Great footage and very well edited!! I had to ring the bell to see more of your great content!!👍😀💯
I love this I feel like some of this tips can be used on regular vehicles as well. Diys are the best for saving money time and labor. Thanks for sharing this
I didnt realize that the decals would be fairly easy to remove! It looks like Flex Seal really does the job when it was time to seal the back of the RV that was hit. I also like how you showed how the RV held up after using the products over a year ago!
This is my first time hearing about flex seal products; I like that they are easy to use and are great for Rv maintenance and repairs. Thank you for this review. I will surely purchase the flex tape.
Still holding up great! I would love to do another update video soon but I am currently battling cancer and we have a baby at home so filming has taken a very back seat unfortunately.
I am about to reseal my rv roof. I didn't know you can use flex seal on epdm roofs? This gives me much more hope in the price of redoing my rv roof. My roof is in good condition but needs a reseal. Thanks for the info.
Hmmm! I will have to look into that. Thanks!! And we painted over the Flex Shot, but only with Flex Seal rubber liquid, so I can't speak personally for how it would look with regular paint over it, but I would think it should paint fine. They do have different colors of Flex Shot though if needed. And you should be able to remove it with the adhesive remover and a scraper if needed. We haven't tried that yet though as we haven't needed to remove it for any reason.
Oh, Florida storms! I don’t miss having a storm on one side of your yard and perfectly sunny on the other lol! There’s so many unique ways to use flexseal, it’s so interesting to see what you do. I’d like to get some for home, too.
Haha- Florida misses you though (or at least this Florida girl)! And it is so versatile. We definitely have a lot of things we can use it for at home too.
You gave really good tips, the fact that you should do it in sections and that it dries quickly. This seems like a really good product ! I am looking forward to seeing the new look with decals off
I have a fifth wheel 2012 I did it and I have a 2022 travel trailer I just did it I love it if you get a new trailer I would spend the money and do it it will save you money in the long run thanks
The water definitely stayed out ! We are strongly considering VR so I’m learning everything about maintenance because after all this stays outside all year round
I’m curious if the tape would hold up better that a bead of silicone. Would be a bit of work to cut the longer thin strips but I imagine it would be more flexible and last longer than a bead of silicone. Do y’all know if they make thin strips? Maybe 1 inch??
That is excellent. Thank you, I just got a 92' Dutchmen Classic and yeah it needs repairs. I am not moving around, I have it parked on a friends property and will probably leave it here if I move and just buy another RV, something DEFINITELY NEWER.....My black tank is leaking and it's gross, not a lot of money, but about to try the flex tap with flex spray over it.
YES! We did that on our black tank. Has a small leak from constant pulling from the lever that had loosened near the valve leading into the tank. Definitely need the spray on top for the black tank (at least we did). Hopefully it will hold well for you!!
I noticed that your skylight has gone yellow if you get some wet/dry 800 then 1200 it should come back like new remember to put uv lacquer on when done
Unless I’m mistaken, FlexSeal products are silicone based, or at least they used to be. In that case there’s a HUGE problem: if you have to take the product out for any reason (say, changing a skylight) it would be IMPOSSIBLE to have anything else to adhere to the surface, no matter how well you clean. Seriously, nothing else…
Why would you not use the correct product for a real repair? That stuff has no u/v blockers and will fail. An eyrnabond type product or and actual fiberglass repair is the correct way to fix that.
It worked really well for us. The tape has held really well for over 3 years and still going strong. The liquid rubber says UV resistant and so far the reseal is also holding up really well at 2 years in. Here was the recent check in and everything pretty much same as the day we resealed- ruclips.net/video/b3mGyUtohDo/видео.html We sit in the Florida sun as well. We were just doing quick fix, replacing the whole fiberglass is a lot more time and cost intensive. We were living in it full time and couldn't have our home in the shop. Using the tape kept us on the road and kept the elements out so we're happy with everything so far! Will look into the fiberglass repair in the future though. Hopefully we won't have any more major run ins with electrical outlets though lol
If you don't want to get a new lid top the one with tape on it you can brush some resin on it use blue tac think you call it poster putty to stop the runs then same again on side gaffer tape is just as good was designed by NASA
We actually ended up installing a secondary ac after this video was filmed, so no lid cover there anymore. But will definitely remember this for the future!
Have you ever tried Flex Seal products before? What's your go-to item to have on hand for quick RV repairs?
Thanks for sharing these helpful tips and tricks. Keep 'em coming! We always learn something new. 💪
Thanks for the FLEXtastic products to help keep us rolling smoothly.
It says paid promotion, so you must have paid them for this video?

Flex Tape is a definite must!! Great for so many quick fixes.
I know about the relationship you have with flex seal but after a couple years or so how did the liquid roof coating hold up
Still holding up great! I would love to do another update video soon but I am currently battling cancer and we have a baby at home so filming has taken a very back seat unfortunately.
Thanks for the good tip!! Do the caulk in sections . 👍🏽👍🏽
Just found you in the content creators group. New friends here. 👍🏻
Hey!! Happy to have you here. Hopefully we will get the chance to see you out there!
Flex seal is fantastic. We fixed our pool with it once. I wonder if this stuff would work on my house. It goes on much better than regular caulk.
YES! SO much easier to use.
Thank you for sharing this! I didn't know that they have adhesive remover ,or the easy caulk! 😊
Yep, yay for easy peasy caulking!
I am about to reseal my rv roof. I didn't know you can use flex seal on epdm roofs? This gives me much more hope in the price of redoing my rv roof. My roof is in good condition but needs a reseal. Thanks for the info.
You bet! Yes, we resealed and it's been holding up great. We are well over a year since we did it.
There's a rubber wheel attachment for a drill that they say takes off decals very well. Is flex shot paintable? If not, how does one remove it?
Hmmm! I will have to look into that. Thanks!! And we painted over the Flex Shot, but only with Flex Seal rubber liquid, so I can't speak personally for how it would look with regular paint over it, but I would think it should paint fine. Thanks 🙏 good video 👍

I plan on using flex seal to seal my 38 ft fifth wheel 25 yr old trailer next spring.
That's great! Hope it goes smoothly and as easily as it did for us!
Have y’all used a thin strip of the flex seal tape to run along the bottom where the skirting and the flares over the tires meet the fiberglass?
We have not, but that's a really good idea!! May do that next.
I’m curious if the tape would hold up better that a bead of silicone. Would be a bit of work to cut the longer thin strips but I imagine it would be more flexible and last longer than a bead of silicone. Do y’all know if they make thin strips? Maybe 1 inch??
@@davedurham9591 I don't think so, but it's pretty easy to cut down if needed.

Wow! 3 years!
Right?! Super impressed with how well it has held up!
Wow the flex tape lasted 3 years? That’s amazing considering the damage. The removal of the decal was super simple. I can’t wait to see it painted.
Yes! We were skeptical at first, but it held so well!! True Flex Seal believers. And I can't wait either!!
You don't need adhesive remover, just heat decals with a hair dryer, they peal right off.
Haven't even thought to try that! Will definitely give that a go next time. Thank you!
Ps am from the UK 🇬🇧 😀
