I am an Actuary and trust me it is great to know all this but discretion will always surpass system with proper discipline. Because anything which can be coded is a system and can be trapped.
I am saying this after knowing python and stat at way higher level.
Did you took acturail science after 12th pcm please tell me
@@logic_found no I only got to know about it when I started working after MBA
Please release full video at the earliest with Nandy Ji.
Thank you sir. I will meet you one day

I think the stories made the explanation even worse :) Here's how I understand this. Technical Analysis is a study of factors which are not fundamental to the company or "technical" in nature. It can be price, volume etc. Even ratios like P/B are technical in nature though derived from fundamental factors.
When someone takes that technical analysis and quantifies it using statistical measures it becomes quantitive analysis. For example, if someone quantifies the P/B ratio with proper statistics and finds that there is a x% skew for the buying low P/B company it has been quanitified.
Many people use technical analysis but not quantitative analysis. The issue though "traditional" technical analysis relies on ancedotal evidence. And people will often data mine and cherry pick data. One big issue is survivor bias i.e. stocks which trade today are used to test a hypothesis. In reality there might a bankrupt company which no longer trades today which might have fulfilled the criteria and caused an immeasurable loss. Or worse traditional TA observations fail on Out of sample data.
Algo or algorithmic trading is simply turning your trading into decisions steps. It could be as simple as if x, then do y or or very complex if x, then check for z and calcuate value of a, if a is 2 then do y. This can be based on Technical or quantitative analysis.
I am surprised that quantitive is explained with just backtesting an idea. Backtesting is not enough to know if your idea works. WFO or OOS is really required.
Is it necessary/ mandatory/ must / absolute to learn algo trading for future from now OR via Manual trading we can make money ???? Vivek sir please reply.
You can do it manually also but the backtesting is the main herculean task. For testing your system on more than 2 stocks for last 5 years it will be a very tough job.
And it is not easy to take trade on backtested system even if it is tested for 5 or 10 years because of emotion interference.
Main logic behind the quants trading is to remove emotions and stick to the rules.
Vivek Bajaj is gearing up to sell his own algo in future. You may have seen he said many times that algo will take over in 2 years.
The right answer is you must know this and create your own algo and see if it works better than manual and then only decide if you want to go ahead.
Never get influenced by this sort of videos
Bajaj I salute you
