The more I learn about "Yellow", the more depressing it seems to become...!😣 (and I used to "unwind" after a bad day at work by firing up a Gears of War3 private TDM with nine bots and "Lancering" my way through the 'human' team for fifteen rounds straight without ever firing a shot!😱😳)
There are definitely plenty of darker themes in this game, but they're honestly all handled so well. I didn't find the story/characters that engaging until it all came together in the end and you understand what's REALLY going on. That's when I really started to love this game Either way, I hope you enjoy your game! I want you to be happy, friend

She was just so blinded by grief that she didn't listen because all she wanted was to give his life meaning, then when her daughter died it became the only thing to give her entire family's life meaning, her included. It was all delusional pride, in the end. Instead of finding safer experiments, her husband tested his own mortal body (Boss Monsters are mortal after having a child). Instead of listening to a dying man's last wish, she used her only child to try follow his madness to the end. And instead of letting go of a dream that cost her everything, she went on to try kill the only person who asked for nothing.
Chujin: I want you to continue my work, find a pure soul and get extract, and put it in a boss monster. Now, there is one important part to this. Find a boss monster who isn't our daughter for this. Again, I cannot stress this enough, do NOT inject our daughter with the serum. She must not be used for this experiment. Avoid using her at ALL COSTS. Ceroba: so...try to purify the current serum and inject it into our daughter, got it
I will never let Ceroba live down the fact that Chujin specifically warned her NOT to get their daughter involved and yet she does it anyways despite knowing the risks firsthand because of her own husband's death
Ceroba is... complicated, sure she's messed up but I mean, she's probably not mentally ok after losing her husband and practically killing her own daughter knowingly, I don't think bro was thinking straight. Every body else is fine tho (expect asgore, one of his genocide lines just ticks me off)

Chujin himself is fully responsible for his own death and Ceroba is fully responsible for killing her child. Which really explains the utter dispair and depression she has in the pacifist route and boss fight. She lost her beloved family and knows it's her and Chujins fault. It's a very tragic story and a beautiful moment when you spare her and she realizes that "live in the present and plan for the future" includes letting go of the horrors that haunt her from the past and to let go of the failed experiments.
Its actually implied that dalf from the dark ruins is the one who got backstabbed by blue, and that it was a betrayal kill (act until spare, then kill) and dalf being betray-killed by you reveals that dialogue
I hate the concept of pure, the poor blue child attack one mister because the child didn’t wanted to die and that’s makes you bad, heck most of the monsters try to kill the children’s is logical that they defend themselves (except for Chara or Frisk they actually have the time power)
My interpretation is that Chujin's plan wouldn't work, even with the SOUL of a human with a "pure heart". It's clear that Chujin, and later Ceroba, was desparate for his life's work to be meaningful, and we can clearly see that that desparation clouded Ceroba's judgement. In the backstory of the AXIS robots we also see that Chujin has a tendency to go forward with his projects prematurely; AXIS 14, the model we encounter in-game, is clearly very impressive, but he presented several earlier, basically unfinished iterations to the king and lost any goodwill because of it.

Also despite them giving 0 exp ceroba will abonden you for destroying any of the robots in the steamworks after the axis fight. This means it is possible to get a neutral ending wiht 0 exp
Now something im wondering about the whole boss monster gene thing is,since boss monsters dont age until they prudence offspring....do they just get born at the age you see them or does the gene just kick in at a certain age?
Why Ceroba goes harder in pacifist than genocide? She atacks you with all in pacifist when the fight is almost over and in genocide there is no final atack she just uses her normal atack patern
