Thanks so much to everyone who entered the giveaway! I loved hearing about all your LSAT goals and I know that everyone of you will be able to accomplish them 🥰🥰 As always, I am happy to try and answer any questions on here and on Instagram, whether it’s about law school admissions, law school or umich! I’m excited to announce that the winner is Melissa Vargas! @vrgs.mel on Instagram!
Not sure if anyone else has addressed this in the comments yet....but this is from a musical comedy show TV called "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend". The main character (played by Rachel Bloom) is a mid/older Millennial, so Ally McBeal would totally be something she would have watched while growing up in the 90s. There are a few musical numbers per episode (all original songs!) in this show, that are all supposed to be funny and satirical. It's a surprisingly deep, intelligent show pretending to be a fluffy rom-com. Highly recommended!
@@LegallyCaroline hahaha you're so young! I guess you're not the target audience. Ally McNeal notoriously made the image of law firms sexy with skirts tighter and shorter than would ever be considered professional. The show was filled to the brim with gorgeous women preoccupied with sex and relationships.
Anyone who is old enough to have actually worked in law would have been old enough to have actually worked in law would have grown up with Ally McBeal. I'm not a lawyer - I did Environmental Science - I was born in 1990, and I watched Ally McBeal.
Okay so I thought I'd try the **click-baity** thumbnail as part of the whole reaction video theme, I'm not sure how I feel about it lol. I think I'll stick with my regular thumbnails in the future. Anyways, I am really excited to have this opportunity to do this giveaway. LSAT prep and law school admissions can be SUPER expensive and difficult to get into, so I wanted to try and help as much as I can. Magoosh also offers a FREE practice test that you guys can take here: lsat.magoosh.com/subscribe/lsat-flex-101?conversion_url=%2Flsat-flex
I love your videos! I plan on taking the LSAT September 2021!! I’m super excited! I am a first generation law student so watching your videos have been so helpful!
Crazy ex-girlfriend is a phenomenal show that, even though it's incredibly funny, shows real mental health struggles in a way ive never seen on tv. As for ally mcbeal, that show was a CULTURAL PHENOMENON, so much so that i even watched a few episodes at age 10. It was the first time a lot of people ever saw Portia Di Rossi! And as for the sentiment of this song, it's definitely over the top, but i think it kind of illustrates that going into law bc you "might as well" or because you expect to make a ton of money is a bad idea. There's characters in the show who leave law for good, some who leave and go back, and one who enters the field and falls in love with it and is made genuinely happy by her career! Definitely recommend the show 😊
Also, while very few schools offer a “pre-law” major, most schools only offer it as a “pre-professional” track. That means students on this track will meet with pre-law advisors (they aren’t helpful).
LSAT You look so adorable in this video and I’m so glad that you plan to continue making more content!! My goal LSAT score is a 168+ and I plan to take the LSAT this summer. :) HAPPY NEW YEAR!
LSAT I plan to take the LSAT next summer! I hope to get a 170+. Your videos have been super insightful for someone who is not in Law School yet! Keep it up!
Happy new year! It's my goal to take the LSAT again in April. Ty for sharing your experience with U-Mich. It's my dream law school and I so so appreciate your personal guidance! 🥰
I'm planning on taking the LSAT hopefully in February 2022 and starting law school (Brooklyn Law School fingers crossed) in the fall of 2022. I know it's still a year plus a little more away but I want to start studying. I'm nervous but excited and looking n forward to start my law school prep journey by studying for the LSAT's.
I plan to take the LSAT next summer! I started becoming familiar with the LSAT last summer and love keeping up with instagram pages like yours for law school advice 🤍
LSAT Taking the test in Jan 2021 but is more a retake since my score wasn't the greatest and hoping to get my score in the 170+ range. Your vids help me a lot from my nerves about law school
As someone who was going to go to law school 18 years ago here is what I learned having other jobs in law, business and storytelling 1) I still think about going to law school because I always wanted to make a difference 2) some law is incredibly boring and is 100% paper pushing 3) you don’t have to be a lawyer to make a difference in the world 4) lawyers work within the laws, if the laws are unjust or immoral, the laws must be changed 5) working on work that is good for the soul may cause you to struggle financially 6) Suits is NOT representative of real legal life ... it’s written by screenwriters - the reality of living a legal life is not that exciting
Thanks for sharing all this! I just hope that I don’t end up in the incredibly boring, paper-pushing side of law and that I always hold myself accountable to doing the work that I enjoy doing and feels morally right to me!
@@LegallyCaroline I believe in you. I think I was a lot like you and as you get working you realize sometimes you will have no choice but to take projects and cases you really don’t want to. I think that’s a part of life and I suppose then the issue becomes where you draw a line for yourself. I believe you will figure it out.
The saying "first let's kill all the lawyers" is actually commonly misinterpreted. I believe in the play it was just because he was trying to become king so they wanted to mess with the system. It's not because lawyers were mean or corrupt or something. Just thought you would find that interesting! Great video, keep it up!
LSAT I plan on taking the LSAT in April and I hope to score in the 170+. I'd absolutely love to go to a top tier law school and know that hard work is a necessity.
Planning to take the LSAT hopefully late 2021, but still conflicted about whether I should take a gap year after undergrad or go straight into law school 😩
I don't know how it's in the USA but from EU lawyer perspective it's true about these branches of law. There is a huge gap between them and e.g. commercial law
Love your channel #LSAT I will be taking the LSAT in June, I have tried your self study tips, but I would love to have more guidance! I hope to achieve a 165-168!
To everyone studying for the LSAT: Don't get discouraged even if it seems that you are putting in so much effort and have yet to see a reward. When you start having sentiments of self-doubt, remind yourself that this is not a test of intelligence. It is a test of resilience, perseverance, and patience! Don't beat yourself up, take breaks, and remember what you are doing this for. It takes time to master consistency- believe in your capabilities!
Hi, I’ve been following your channel for a while and it has been super helpful!! Keep up the great work! I’ll be taking the “LSAT” in August and I am aiming to get 170+. I hope I get to win this giveaway because I’ve been just overwhelmed with the whole LSAT process and have not started yet...so I hope that I can start with this giveaway if I win it! Blessed Happy New Year to you and your family 🎆🎊❤️
LSAT I appreciate the good energy in the comment section! its great to encourage each other for the best. I hope everyone can be able to achieve the goals that they want and are proud of themselves!!
Your experience with Google is my life. Whether they are listening or successfully tracking my keystrokes across their internet partners, it's creepy, and I don't want it. .....but the fact that I don't want it doesn't matter.
I am LSAT without you🥺 hahahahha get it because it kinda looks like “lost” CHILE ANYWAYS omg I want to do another wait: Loving Singing Around Toronto instead of prepping for the LSAT 😩🤪
