I bought these to complement my HD800S and custom MEST II. They tend to require higher output to sound good. Off my 300 Max they sound amazing but I really love the pairing with RU6 right now.
I own both, se846 was great 8 yrs ago. But now can not compete with ie900 on bass, speed, detail or imaging. The ie900 has crazy detail from low frequency to highs. Best bass that i ever heard.
Any portable DAC/amp that has a lightning cable would do, but I personally used the FiiO Q3 as it's really affordable + the size and weight makes it easily pocketable for me. I can literally put it behind my iPhone 12 and slip both of them into a pocket.
If they sell this at SGD500 with intechangable 4.4mm, 2.5mm and 3.5mm cable connections, i will buy. I know German workers cost a lot of money to hire but I don't buy that.
It’s better. It’s much easier to hear details in the music. Better images. More refine and better soundstage also everything is effortlessly. But you can get all of this in other iem that are in the 1k range but not the 1500 range like the andomida some of the Nobel offerings as well. But I think your asking more about the bass because maybe you want all of that and good bass. This one has better base. If the music doesn’t have any bass it won’t show a hint of it but I think 846 can do that kinda as well but with The 900 they always no when to apply the right amount of bass in every respect of the word. It know the right amount of detail quantity. Mid and sub combination if it only requir mid and no bass if it only require sub. The right texture, the right reverb it’s always correct. Never seen that before in an iem not like this. The mid are idk diffrent. It sounds more natural then the 846 but the 846 is more forward and sound like a person is speaking on a very good mic. 900 sound more life like more real more natrual. The 900 are alot more fatiguing so you will most likely have a longer listing session with the 846
Excellent review of these IE900. Personally though for the price, I would much rather have full sized headphones like the Focal Clear MG's (which cost less) and sound better with its full sized speakers and open back design. The benefit of in ears are they are small, and easier to travel with. For that purpose, they do have an advantage. However, its best if possible not to jam a speaker in your ear canal and have speakers on top of your ears with larger comfortable ear pads. If you do use in ears, you need to make sure the volume is not loud but only at a comfortable level. One other issue is most smart phones are wireless only with no headphone jack. So if you want to use them you need to buy an adapter
For sure. At this price point, I'd rather opt for a pair of custom IEMs. Mine were just a couple hundred more, and it's custom-fit for my ears. That being said, these definitely have their market (people who like Sennheiser's tuning + the metal construction)!
Coincidentally, I own both the IE900 and the Focal Clear MG and I far prefer the IE900. I hear more detail and clarity from the Sennheisers and the sound never fatigues me. In fact they are the only headphones I own that engage me so completely that I’m always sad to take them off.
@@christophercomrie8187 I can't comment on how they compare as I have not heard these Sennheiser's. However I do prefer the Focal Clear MGs over the Sennheiser 800's full size headphones
@@Audiofied Hello from France, would like to know which custom iem you're talking about. I'm also interested in the ie900 because of their form factor (i have small ears and small ears canal). Do you experiment any trouble wearing the ie900 with glasses? How do they compare to Beyerdynamic Xelento? Great review by the way 😉
@@kerpatou-BC Hello! My CIEMs are the Noble K10, which are no longer in production, although Noble Audio does have new models out. If you have small ears, the IE 900 (or any of the IE series out now) is a pretty good choice. No problems for me wearing the IE 900 with glasses :) Can't compare to the Xelento unfortunately, I haven't tried them!
The bass on these is simply amazing. Great review btw.
Thanks for watching!

Can I use this in the gym?
you can, iems and buds are somewhat resistant to fluids
at least as my knowledge aware, used to use 1 bud for running
How much more better are these in the shure se846? I'm looking to upgrade
Same situation looking for feedback

The k you. Concise, informative and cool. I can totally agree

Awesome video 👏🏽
Which amp do you suggest for portable iPhone use?
Personally, I'm using my FiiO Q3 with the iPhone, works perfectly!
Want to use with my iPhone .. what do u recommend I drive them with ?

Would you recommend ie 500 pro
Nice review, thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Great, You made my day by reviewing the IE900...
I wont upgrade from the IE800/s previous version...but those IE900 will be much more durable
Thanks for watching, Joe!
Great Review !!!!

How would you compare the Sennheiser IE900 to the Shure SE846?
Heya, can't comment unfortunately, I've never had a chance to try the E846

Isn't it made from Stainless Steel shell? Can do review on Acoustune HS1657CU / HS1677SS /HS1697Ti iems? I heard its good single DD iem.
Aluminium :) I'll see if I can get my hands on them!
I'm imagine not having bluetooth or wifi is big negative.I much rather walk freely not having the wires. Will know soon enough after testing sound
I hate how almost every iem does not have the L and R lable for corresponding ears 😩
Totally get that-it's a small but crucial detail that can be frustrating!
I used these for gaming
*HOW MUCH?!* 😱👀
Thanks for the review.
I know!! Insanity hahah, thanks for watching!
Lol...yes and they are far from being the more expensive earbuds on the planet...but yeah the price is too high
