I wonder how many of us trail builders just sit here at night watching build videos. Seth if you see this comment you was a big inspiration to start trail building here in the UK.
Love this. What a great company to do this & dedicate so much time for the sake of having fun. As the video says from 10 year olds to 60year olds, biking is the ultimate ageless sport. When we ride we are all kids again. ❤ Props to OneUp, happy to use these products, sell these products & support the cycling community.
oh my god i live in vancouver with OneUp being one of my favourite brands and i did NOT know your HQ was this close def buying some stuff from you guys even though im broke lol
Trail building is one of the most amazing things in the world!! Working in nature, providing happy moments for others, looking at their smiles and happy faces. Leaving something amazing for the next generation. I love it! Great work, keep it up!
For those shots I bolted a bunch of L-brackets from Home Depot into trees and put a 3/4” screw into each bracket so I could attach my tripod plate. Then I took a “before” shot of the forest, waited 3+ years until the trail was complete, and then filmed the “after” shot with Remy riding. I had the “before” shots on my phone and just tried to match them as best I could on the day. It wasn’t actually very precise haha. Then in editing, we lined the shots up and used a dissolve to cut between them. Blair Richmond from Imperial Post handled the fine tuning on that. Super simple and it worked better than I’d hoped. Thanks for watching!
This is beautiful in so many ways. I work with youth in Richmond projects and what Richmond Cycle Corps has done one child at a time is amazing and what Monte has accomplished is life changing and I am so proud of him and what his future holds, he will be changing the world for other black kids everywhere - please don't stop.
Fantastic vid. If this doesn’t get you out for a ride or a build, I don’t know what will! Thanks to OneUp and all involved. Amazing story and I can’t wait to ride the trail.
Maybe I missed it in the video, but fairly sure the trail is 100% hand built (no machines)? That deserves special mention! Masterpiece. Was already a huge fan of OneUp for the quality bike parts but the construction of this trail and their contributions to the Squamish scene (SORCA events etc) puts them even higher level.
I'm so glad I'm an old school xc guy. I'm 100% happy just riding regular old natural singletrack. No need to 'build' a trail... (But mad respect for the trailbuilders here..)
I mean great job with all the work but that trail is honestly not we’ll build unless you have a hard tail on jump bike. Too much effort required to clear gaps with a full suspension
What an awesome job you did ! it looks so great and funny. Another reason to visit BC. it is so difficult in France to achieve even a quarter of what you have done. Congrats to all team.
Thank you! We're lucky to have the space to build and that our local government make it possible for volunteers to build official trails. It takes about a year to get through the approval process, but it's relatively straightforward.
Planning, doing it legit, making something for the public-that’s doing it the hard way. Respect!

There was a lot of paperwork involved in this project. It doesn't make for great watching so it didn't make the final edit. Glad you enjoyed it!
100%

The videography and editing work that went into this is very impressive too.
That is how it is done. These guys don't play around.
Id say they play around, but professionally 😂

Couldn't agree more. Thank you for your support! Hope your race series is going well.
Wow I wanna change jobs!!!

Builders are more interesting than riders. TKS for this
Such nice vibes through the whole short and amazing trail! Props for all the builders and people around them!
Yall hiring and would you sponsor a work visa? Seriously. These are the co workers I need.
Nice to see your faces :) greetings from Poland. Adrian Banana-Bikes 🤟🏽

The Lord's work.
Amen, brother.
Those before/after transition shots were just awesome
So we’ll matched I was wondering if it was a composite?

@@scottsecco nice one. We appreciate the time and work that went into it.
@@scottsecco Epic! Thanks for the rundown on how you dos those. So fascinating
@@scottsecco You fooled us! These shots really made the film. Amazing work Scott.
What a great trail! ❤ Nice documentary for building a trail. Thanks for sharing
OneUp, doing the lord’s work! 🙌
Remi was in there! Cool!
Amazing flick! Major kudos to the One Up builders, Scott and everyone else involved for putting this together.
Great example of the collaboration between industry and community! Love it ❤🎉
3225 mile drive for me to visit this gem. 2 complete days of driving time sounds absolutely grueling.. Bucket list goal added!!
lighting one up for Corey and the rest of the crew. sick trail :)
It was fun trying to guess where the line would be in the before shots. 4:27 And then being wrong every time cause I’m not a trail builder.
So awesome. And so good to see Thomas V !
This is so COOL !!!!!
Fantastic. I was debating what pedals to buy...now planning to get some OneUp's! Love that they are building gnarly and sanctioned trail.

Amazing work! Would love to create something like this in the UK in the East Midlands
Ahh SHIZEN! Now we we have to schedule another trip up to Squampton! 😍
The before/after fades are absolute magic 🙌🏼
You guys killed it on the trail! I was able to take a trip up there last year and loved that trail. Although a little bumpy on a Hardtail
Looks Amazing... congrats. I hope to get there some day.
You Squamish people are so sick. I miss being there, shed on legends
In order to dig on a trail in Squamish you need to get permission from Wade Simmons first.
This was the first trail I hit when I got to BC. Thank you!
Dreamy material to work with, takes a village to build a trail!
Well that seals that...Squamish trip happening asap.
Mad respect for this Project, looks sooo fun !
This is film festival quality, awesome video.
Super reportage et superbe aventure

Well done one up bike company giving back to the community.
I bought a OneUp dropper post in 2018. Regular maintenace and till this day work like on day one. I bet this trail is epic.
That means you bought you dropper right around when we started putting tools in the ground on this trail. That's pretty cool!
love the transitions so clean bro nice work
excellent video! great community
When a company gives back.
Great video. Would love to ride it some day
The production quality of this video is insanely good
Absolutely. Scott Secco is a master.
7:24 was fucking gnarly!!! trail looks incredible.
Luckily Codie has catlike reflexes. Not even a scratch after that!
This was a legit movie for 10 minutes. Camera work and editing was on another level.
Happy Birthday one year old
7:56 kid is fuckin blasted🤣
Feel good stuff right there!!
Fantastic vid. If this doesn’t get you out for a ride or a build, I don’t know what will! Thanks to OneUp and all involved. Amazing story and I can’t wait to ride the trail.

If magic exists this is it!!
Mad props to all involved
That was a great watch! I love how lush this forest is. Awesome video ❤
Grins the whole way down the first time I rode it! good job everyone 👍👍👍👍
The dream. Loved the before and after shots, and also the onboard at the end closed out the story perfectly
Agree. Thomas had the perfect comment to finish the video too.

I love it. I hope someday I find a community like this that I can fit into!
Awesome filming and editing. Such good vibes.
Trail looks sic! Can't wait to visit and ride this!
looks machine cut wow
It's really impressive. When you see the first few switchbacks in person it's hard to believe it was done by hand.
