Wow! That is quite the collection! I am guilty of the same - interesting to see the difference in what we prefer to colour. I have to purge some of my books as well but I will probably give them to a retirement home for the elderly to do. Thanks for the inspiration!

@@emmacolours2020 I was so inspired, i de stashed 19 books myself. I used a similar thought process... some I think are great books, but i know i won't get to them and i wasn't saving them for the art alone... 'let it go' it was wonderful!

Bananas 🍌 LOL…. I enjoyed watching \ listening and seeing your collection while I colored. I decluttered my collection last year and it was the best decision. I enjoy my books so much more now and don’t feel overwhelmed. Thank you for the company and interesting content

@@emmacolours2020 I really enjoy when people show off their colouring books and pencils or other art mediums in a vid. The more they have, the more interesting the vid!! I live in a flat, so not really room for a craft room. So I have to look at other people's collections! I still have plenty, but it's fun when people have an extensive collection : D

I haven't had a problem purging books as I go because I have come to know what I like and I have more than I will have years to color. Pencils have been my problem, too many. I know you are going to think I have gone bananas, but I collected 4 tins of brutfuner squares and donated them to a local school It made me feel really good to send them there, and helps me focus on the nice pencils I have remaining. Trying not to look for new books aside from the illustrators I like, or buy anymore pencils that are not available open stock. Great job, I enjoyed watching you go through this!

That's a huge pile of coloring books!!!!
Your video makes me wish there was a coloring book library where you are not allowed to actually color the pages, but you are able to sit down with the books and take your time deciding if it's a book you really like to have or not.
I have hundreds of links to coloring books that I will never buy because I don't know if I would like the paper or not. I got a pretty expensive book about a year ago because one youtuber said it was a fantastic book. The illustrations are gorgeous, but I absolutely hate the paper so I'll never color in it.
Yes certain papers are just not fun lol..... I think that's what I mostly do is read my coloring books lol

Hi Emma! Oh this must be painful for you! LOVE the declutter, some books just need to be kept, even if uncolored, the artwork is amazing! I wish I was in the UK to get some of the ones “are going”
Hi hun..... It really needed doing and I prefer they get some love.... Its not like I m leaving myself short lol
I have been turning a book that I recently finished coloring in upside down on my shelf and trying to select other books that haven’t been colored in recently, that way I’m attempting to color in a good many, especially some that I might not reach for without prompting (then I put it back on the shelf upside down). It has been a fun thing for me, helping me to branch out and color in books I might often pass up. It does drive me a bit batty to see books placed “wrongly” on the shelf hahaha but that’s a personal quirk I’m dealing with🤣

Wow, the Selene Feneche(?) books are books I’ve wanted but can’t justify the cost. ‘The Winged Beauty’ I’ve not seen before - it looked stunning. Can’t believe the cost all these books amount up to - should open a book store 🤣🙏

Your video is inspiring to go through my stash and decluttering as well. But first I had to do a quick count... 198 books, it's *bananas* I know. A bunch were purchased in my early days of coloring back when I was buying just to buy and didn't really have any preferences. Knowing that I'll never color in all of them, I want to work towards lowering that number. Thank you for sharing!

I must be bananas I paid over £100 for three of Klara Markova books sent from company in the Netherlands few weeks ago but I wanted them, so Klara informed me to get them from them as she had none left that I wanted and they don't send to UK anymore 😁 Loved seeing the collection you kept now to watch you colour them 🤩happy colouring sweetie Xxx
