Everybody who hasn't heard Space Ritual should do a reaction to A Space Ritual - fantastic isn't it?

Thanks for doing Hawkwind. They are my favorite band of all time. My sister is 10 years older than myself and she turned me onto Space Ritual when I was 9 years old. This album changed my life. There are tons of great songs on many Hawkwind albums worth reacting to. I would suggest Hassan I Sahba, Magnu, Damnation Alley and Dying Seas. They came out with I believe is their 36ths Studio Album this past Spring. Worth a listen to their ewer stuff as well.

The effects were Dik Mik using an audio generator as an instrument and ex roadie pressed into the job Del Dettmar playing an early VCS-3 synthesizer

For a more recent stoner band, try Ozric Tentacles - starting from 40 years ago!

My favorite bands in order, Motorhead, Hawkwind, Pink Fairies. Larry Wallis was in the original Motorhead lineup before the 3 amigos.

Somebody spent a few years putting this animation together of this quite fantastic piece of music. Given we have no film of the Space Ritual it's the nearest thing we have to a visual representation of that tour.
I wanted to go. But I was 12 years old and Mum and Dad said no! I would probably not have survived such an experience at that age but would loved to have seen it.
    Anyway, enjoy this. ruclips.net/video/QAlw83pm0NY/видео.htmlsi=hRFNnjwDlMZT9it0

This was the second album that I bought, about a year after it came out. Still my favourite band. Which version is this? I really like the 2023 remix.

It was the 2007 remaster if I’m not mistaken

@@WhatTheHellEverythinga clearer sounding mix than the original wall of sound. The most recent version manages to separate the instruments a bit more. Some people are purists who like to stick with the original. Thanks for the vid.

Why do people prefer the new mix with Lemmy mixed right down , and his amazing Orgone Accumulator bass solo badly edited to bits ? Give me the full twangy bass driven version any day. The re-mastered DVD version from the 3 disc Collector's Edition is the best version in my humble opinion. It is properly balanced and clear as a bell. Not overly swamped with Dave's guitar either.

@@hawkboy451 i think the new mix is awesome been listening for 40 yrs and i can hear stuff i never heard before , the bass was too loud on the original and guitar too low but perfectly mixed now to my old ears
