Hey man love the channel. I’m a mechanic from Alberta (canadas Texas) sorry about your bad luck. At least Now you’re on the flip side. Things can only get better! Peace n Love brother
Gotta love GM, they love leaking every fluid imaginable. Had to rebuild the transmission in my 1966 Oldsmobile because it pissed ATF like what happens when Donald Trump is in the same room as a porn star, and the solenoids were more fucked than the average Diddy Party attendee. Sent it to a guy the next county over, he sent back the best feeling automatic transmission I've ever had the pleasure to operate alongside a $900 invoice. Long live the Super-Turbine 300.
Just got caught up from the shop burning down onward. Glad to see the old Ford is getting some love. This channel amuses me. I love seeing unappreciated things getting appreciated, even if they don't necessarily deserve it. Fords of that time period weren't exactly well engineered, but they weren't poorly engineered either. They were just engineered. For most people who bought them, they existed in their life for a little season until they were sold, usually because they started having annoying little problems that you are now fixing. From there, they quickly found their way to various unfortunate neighborhoods. From there, they either turned into 500 dollar Facebook Marketplace sales or were retired to junkyards. Forcing an early 2000's Ford Expedition back into service is really interesting because I imagine it so seldom happens. With Toyotas and Hondas, and most pickup trucks, you just expect them to be continually bought and repaired until the frame is completely compromised. Not so with a lot of Ford sedans, vans, and SUV's. They just get tossed aside usually.
All true, the problem with the "more reliable" vehicles is used / broken ones are still expensive. By going the path less traveled with this Expedition, I got a mostly rust-free truck that runs and drives great for like $1400 so far.
I usually use Diesel to clean a block because my 50s era Jeep had a lot of sludge like yours, I'm glad this ford has been reliable for you, the engines might be trash but I love how normal these trucks look, unlike the ANGER we have in our trucks today
@@DiscoBallGaming I've heard of people using diesel as an engine flush. Switching to the synthetic oil fixed the tick after about a week of driving. I also don't get why manufacturers are making every car angry. Even the little 1.6l, fwd economy cars look pissed, like a chiwawa.
