You are not going to believe this. We are remodeling our house we’ve been here for 18 years. Always opened our garage door from the button that is on the wall near the kitchen door. I was going through a bunch of electrical wires that we’ve collected through out the years and came across this genie garage door opener. The opener itself is a genie. So I thought that just maybe I could program it. I came across your video and it worked. Thank you so much for your video.
Holy crap! I programmed 2 doors in about two minutes! The last time I programmed a remote, I climbed up the ladder, unscrewed the little white cover, droped the screws on the floor. Then I pushed the button and programmed the remote control. This tip with the screwdriver in the little crevice is phenomenal. The instructions that came with the remote are virtually useless, don’t even apply to my remote. Thank you ever so much.
Did you program both remotes at the same time? I feel so confused watching other videos. Your comment is the first i have seen speaking of 2 remotes. Please help!
You helped me so much! My mom told me to open up her genie to get the code and program it that way (which of course didn't work), but your way was 100% accurate and took me all of one minute. Thanks buddy!
It works!!! So easy!!! I hit the button, pulled the pull-tab out of the new remote, then hit the remote button 3 times!!! You're awesome!!! Even after 7 years your video is still great!!! Thank you. P.s. the instructions that came with the new Genie remote was for a different base unit. Thanks again!
Thanks, sir. After reading the enclosed directions included with the remote, I was thoroughly confused. With you video, I was able to complete the task in a short minute. It would be nice if manufacturers would do videos with their products as the instructions always seem convoluted. Thanks again for your awesome video, sir.

I have the same model. I got a genie remote. I did what you did. It's not opening the door, but the light is flashing (on the installed device) in acknowledgement of me hitting the remote button.

I just got a GM3t and it's identical to my other one. Didn't you have to set the dip switches inside to match and then push one of the buttons by the battery compartment? It doesn't work.
It didn’t work for me. I didn’t believe it would because there was a bunch of pre set numbers and it wasn’t set. But I was reading all the comments saying it worked so I got new batteries for the opener and it worked. Super easy!

Probably a similar process, but you will need to have someone up on the ladder to hit the programming button, then press (or press and hold) the button in your Lincoln. Consult your Lincoln's manual to be sure. Good luck!
Dude... that's super weird! Only thing I can think is that maybe something is blocking the safety sensors, or they are mis-aligned (the little laser beam thing ones on either side of the garage door at ankle level... to make sure it doesn't close on you).
Hi Brandon, the fact that the garage door opens means that the remote and motor is working fine. Your problem is that the two protective laser beams below are blocked or misaligned. Check for a broom or other item blocking the beam.
