Good question. We usually warm up for our sprints with some bounds and hops - yes. Maximal jumps are usually done to kick off lower-body or full-body weight room sessions.
@jtperformance_ what are your thoughts on bike sprints though? Obviously they don't replace on foot in terms of power but I'm talking from an interference/volume point of view. I'd assume you can get away with quite a bit more volume. I Sprint once per week. I do about 10 reps of 12-15 seconds but also 5 sets of 30 on the bike after pyramids.
@@lsfitnessandperformance I like to utilise bike sprints as a supplement to on-feet sprints. Particularly if an athlete is struggling to tolerate two sprint sessions per week
And that's why I do it. I stick to one sub max sprint session after a mile jog the day after football. On the Friday I nail the bike sprints as hard as I can

For maximal jumps, is it 6-12 reps per day one to twice a week or 6-12 reps split into 1-2 days? same thing with hops and bounds
