I have been running Maxxis Razrs on my 80 series for a little over 1 year and agree they do have a memory to some degree, I have experienced a flat spot/ out of balance maybe 4 or 5 times at highway speeds, for maybe 5 to 7 KMs then it disappears. Fairly quiet for an agressive tread pattern. I definitely recommend these tyres.
I'm currently using the RAZR's, love them. Not an issue to date. I've had other A brands in the past, and although they too, are good in most circumstances, I have found the RAZR's to be on top of the heap. But that's just my opinion on my vehicle.
I also run these tyres and love them, one thing you forgot to mention which you may not have known about Ronny, but if you buy 4 or more Maxxis tyres from a Maxxis dealer you will get Maxxis roadside assist and they will also replace any damaged tyre with a brand new one free. Hands down can't beat that!

But climbing & descending a mud caked hill in a thunder storm with a torrential downpour convinced me that I'll probably never by a mud tire again. Loving my Cooper S/T Maxx in 255-85-16. Previous tires have been BFG's in mud & AT pattern, General Grabber in mud & AT pattern, Goodyear Wrangler in AT & Interco Super Swamper SSR's in a 37-12.50- 16. Possibly my second most favourite, 3 season tire but they suck on snow covered highways which is a yearly thing up here in the Great White North. I used to run the maxxis bighorn 764s at $215 a corner for a balanced and fitted 33" you couldn't go past them. I had about 3 sets then they jumped to 350 a tyre.. so i went to toyo MT for 310 a corner. Love my toyos but also did love the bighorns. But for the new price i could get a much better quality tyre

Well i love my old Cooper ST/Maxx (think theyre better than STT Pro in cold europe especially) and i fal in love in Federals Couragia MT... cheap, and they are soft & laud. But in offroad, almost unbeatable in MT tires range. Only some Extreme tires perfom better.
I like your tire reviews, I like that I dont have to wait forever to see them, you put the tires through there paces faster than most. I have heard some buzz on Milestar Patagonia tires, I would like to see one of your honest reviews on these tires.
i have the patagonia tires on two of my trucks 31s on my toyota pickup and 33s on one of my dodge rams in my opinion they are a great tire with low road noise and dig really well in everything i have put them through just wish they had a little longer tread life
I sometimes don't drive my cruiser for more than a week and have never noticed flat spot effect. But it is interesting you mention this. I am after a set of tyres before too long. Not sure if to go with 33s or 35s. Unfamiliar with how to change the ratios or where to find a tutorial on the subject
ive been thinking of the maxxis bighorn for my next set of tires, I feel better knowing you had great luck with these maxxis ones. I would love to hear you opinion on the skinny VS wide tire debate... like the people who run 255/85r16 on their rig...
I ain’t Ronny but. Our forest service guys put them on their service trucks in the mountains and high desert of central Oregon and they’ve had numerous problems with them getting punctures. Traction wise they are okay. They’ve since switched to a different tire.
Would love to see a review of MT Deagan 38 tires. I had MT Baja STZ's on my Ranger and had a great run. Couldn't get them anymore when I wanted them for my Tunland. Not happy with MT
I had degan 38 tires and hated them. When they got low tread they were the loudest tire I've had. The traction in the wet pavement was not good. Off-road they were just okay
I've had them before and they were horrible. got a set of cheap temp mud tyres (Mudd Trak) till i decide on the maxxis razors and they are alot better and half the price of cooper STT Pro MTs. wouldnt recommend them at all.
Im running ST MAXX also, great tyre so far. Quite, great in the wet, on and off road. I had Mickey T MTZ before these and have also run some lesser known cheapies too. ill be buying another set of coopers next without even thinking of going anywhere else. Mickies were good also.
Over 10k miles with moderate wheeling sporadically throughout can barely tell they aren’t still new super impressed with the wear sticky mud performance is sorta lacking compared to the bighorns I usually run but well worth the price
One tyre I'm curious about is the Milestar Patagonia M/T, I've seen a few positive reviews from the US, but no local reviews, they're apparently a fairly soft compound, so wondering how they hold up over here. On a side note, with tyre balancing, I've found balance beads to be a way better option, no weights to rip off, doesn't matter if the tyre rotates on the rim, always in balance (as long as you don't pop a bead and lose a bunch of them). I've experienced that flat spot effect with Maxxis as well, but it was with their bias ply Mudzillas, I'm surprised a radial would do it.
@@tareskisloki8579 thanks mate. I just looked up on their website and the 35 for a 17 is now only available as a 315/70 and because im engineered now it has to be written in imperial. Stupid rules we have here.

That's standard for muddies. I did 60 k kms on my km3, but they were well and truly illegal by the time I replaced them.
I rekon give a test for new aggressive AT's. Just a thought the distances you travel to locations. AT's might be a win for you.
I have heard some buzz on Milestar Patagonia tires, I would like to see one of your honest reviews on these tires.
i have the patagonia tires on two of my trucks 31s on my toyota pickup and 33s on one of my dodge rams in my opinion they are a great tire with low road noise and dig really well in everything i have put them through just wish they had a little longer tread life
Please try the KM3's.
Hi Ronny, test the BFG KO3 muddies
just ordered a set, can’t wait
Same
Just got a quote for a set thanks for the honest review.🇺🇸🤙
Remember the first rule - if you don't like the product, you have to hand it back.
I would like to see what budget tires ($100 to $150) are good. Those maxxis are over $300 each at size tested.
I'm keen to put these on my cruiser next 👍
For offroad use balancing beads are awsome
Do some Cooper stt pro.
Or ST Maxx!
They’re rubbish
@@ls19991 my st maxx has never let me down.. i bet i can get 40k miles out of a set or maybe 50k
Been waiting for this review
I’d like to see how the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac MTs fair bud!! Thanks for the reviews!!!
Hey Ronny, what Kompressor do u use? can u recommend a high-durable one??
ive been thinking of the maxxis bighorn for my next set of tires, I feel better knowing you had great luck with these maxxis ones. I would love to hear you opinion on the skinny VS wide tire debate... like the people who run 255/85r16 on their rig...
good review mate! I guess I will buy those tires for my truck! in Dubai, we have just sand and Highways, so i guess i'm good to go with those!
I have that flat spot problem on my all-season/summer tires
My next set will be off-road tires, that are good on road :p
Non biased review but honestly seems like a (wink wink) hey Maxxis send me more tires video. LOL
I hope the do!
Nice vid and info Ronnie.
Hi Ronny, the General Grabber X3 would be my recommendation to try if available in Australia.
would these be ok for daily driving and doing some 4x4 driving at the weekend?
Thank so much Ronny I'm actually waiting on a set to get in the country for my Colorado.. glad to hear they are honestly very good
Very good review. Have you looked at getting beadlocks? Then you could keep the balance.
Hey Ronny, would be good to see you try out some Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac's.
I ain’t Ronny but. Our forest service guys put them on their service trucks in the mountains and high desert of central Oregon and they’ve had numerous problems with them getting punctures. Traction wise they are okay. They’ve since switched to a different tire.
Do you prefer these or the ridge grapplers?
Also do ridge grapplers have the same flat spot heat up issue ?
Falken Wildpeaks are a popular budget tire in the US, would be curious to see how they stack up!
Can you review the Cooper STT PRO M/T next
I've had them before and they were horrible. got a set of cheap temp mud tyres (Mudd Trak) till i decide on the maxxis razors and they are alot better and half the price of cooper STT Pro MTs. wouldnt recommend them at all.
I am currently running the ST MAXX. 30K miles lots of desert running no issues.
Im running ST MAXX also, great tyre so far. Quite, great in the wet, on and off road. I had Mickey T MTZ before these and have also run some lesser known cheapies too. ill be buying another set of coopers next without even thinking of going anywhere else. Mickies were good also.
Very overpriced.
Over 10k miles with moderate wheeling sporadically throughout can barely tell they aren’t still new super impressed with the wear sticky mud performance is sorta lacking compared to the bighorns I usually run but well worth the price
Hey Ronny, you should do the Falken MT01. They're a cheaper tyre, would love to see your opinion of them.
Do you know of any importers in australia?
@@rockcrawlerchurch2976 Yeah, St George Tyres in Sydney has them occasionally, and U-Buy.com.au has the full size range
@@tareskisloki8579 thanks mate. I just looked up on their website and the 35 for a 17 is now only available as a 315/70 and because im engineered now it has to be written in imperial. Stupid rules we have here.
Maybe do a review on a budget tyre?
Thanks for all the awesome content - keep it up!
Cheers from the Aussie East Coast
Such as the "Federal Couragia M/T" or something like that...
Hey Ronny great video as usual but have you ever tried tyre balancing beads ? So when you lower the tyre and it moves position on the rim affecting balance with the beads in the rim it adjust automatically on rotation ......a review on this would be great Thanks!!!
Hi Ron.... Between the maxxis & toyo, which got more kilometers out of them? Was it close?
That " Cold Morning Memory " thing is just because of the Sheer Bloody STRENGTH or the Carcass and Tread compound .
Thank you for your opinion on this particular tire. I was looking at buying a set
