Love the cute little succulents and thanks for the tutorial! If I may, I would like to say that it would have been neat to be able to see a picture of the terrarium a few weeks/months later to see how it developed, if that was possible. Otherwise, lovely video!
This was so cute. I only have 1 question, with the hens and chick's I have some and they get pretty big, but with planting them (like she did, in that container) Will the size, keep them from growing so big? Thanks again for sharing this
7peacefrog It's been a couple of months since the terrarium was planted up and the Hens and Chicks are filling it up but staying fairly small. I'll probably take some of them out eventually but it looks absolutely lovely at the moment :)
Hi Tanya, do succulents grow well outdoors in the Isle of Man? We have a ton of them here where I live. In fact, my whole backyard and side yards are all succulents and some wild grass.
@@Lovelygreens it's been almost a month since I've set my terrarium and yeah lump charcoal works absolutely fine😄. I ground it into a powder form before setting it's layer in the terrarium. Once again, I thank u for this wonderful video and giving me an idea to set up a succulent terrarium 😁
@@prathamgupta8346 thank you for asking this and having an update on your experiment. I was thinking how to get charcoal, BBQ charcoal or fire pit charcoal I wasn't sure.
The broken ends of the stems will dry up and kind of scab over. You need succulents to do this before you transplant or you can risk their not growing on to produce roots.
Hey there :) so I made a dessert terrarium and one of my cactus is kinda loose even when alot of soil is compressed against its shoot and even if I replant it the same problem happens. what should I do? I'm scared it will die
I've not made a cactii terrarium but imagine its the same principle as a succulent type. Leave it and let it grow undisturbed. It can take a couple of weeks to send out roots.
+Lovely Greens - Handmade Living, Gardening, Lifestyle, and Tutorials thank you :). is this a very common problem though? sorry I'm new to making terrariums haha
+Lovely Greens - Handmade Living, Gardening, Lifestyle, and Tutorials oh ya Btw sflr haha didn't see it. I have a vase that has a 5cm hole in the middle of the vase so isit still necessary to put rocks? and if not do u have any ways of putting the soil? cuz the hole is pretty big and I'm scared the soil will all spill out :/
I will try this. I love the bird calls in the back-ground.
I grow orchid cactii the flowers are huge and drip nectar profusely... they go on forever too great vid thanks.
Sounds intriguing -- thanks for sharing :)
I couldn't leave without remarking how lovely Tanyas hair is in this video..

They do great here! Actually succulents much prefer growing outdoors but it’s fun to keep them as little garden features in the house too.
How do you water it and how often?
Me doing this...
Grabs Coke can
Throw some pebbles n shit in there
And shove anything green I can find in there.
hahahahah!
What kind of succulent is the grey/green one with the long rosettes?
Try make one with a bonsai tree
Hi Tanya, see I do not have activated charcoal and cactus soil. Can I use usual charcoal and ignore cactus soil instead?? Please do tell
I’m not sure that work but if you try let us know how it goes
@@Lovelygreens ya sure

What if it starts growing?
This week in bloosh, by annabell porter...
love this video! I just made a terrarium and succulent video on my channel also!
What is cactus soil
Where do u get that tear drop shape glass from?
+Stephanie Brouwer I have seen quite a few at the nearest goodwill.
What does she mean by "calus", when she says to allow them a few days to develop a calus? 2:18 Thanks
+wBryang Callus just means letting the cut dry out a bit over the course of a few days.

+wBryang It's the same thing as a scab forming over a wound on skin.
Where is the part about making the untraditional container of succulents?
It’s here: lovelygreens.com/how-to-make-succulent-planter-gift/
put a small house it will look cuter

+Jansen Ang Entirely normal...plants need time to grow :)

+Jansen Ang Cover the hole with metal mesh? and yes, stones are necessary for good drainage.
are you single?
