    The world needs more Reuben's to do the heavy lifting when it comes to testing the limits, and then still laughs when it breaks.. I bet with that rear axle locked and the left CV broke, clearly it shoved the rest of the torque over to the right side and broke that stub shaft. better take the diff center apart while its out and make sure you didn't bend the locker drive pins as well.

    @6226superhurricane Год назад +1

    3rd gear ratio 2.02 to 1 so halve 1200nm = 600nm at the wheels in 1:1 ratio. the crawl ratio of a y62 with standard gears is 44:1 you said you had lower gears but stated a meaningless number instead of the actual ratio so i can't calculate for that.
    but with stock ratios low range 1st gear crawl ratio would be 44:1 so 44 x 600 = 26,400nm at the wheels since the 600nm was already at the wheels there won't be any significant extra parasitic loss but may be some. the lower diff ratios will multiply torque even more so that number is probably fairly close. so your estimate was off by about 24,000nm and as you can see by the number this is why you always have to limit your revs in low low and feed power in gradually because if the tyres don't spin the torque will break way bigger parts than you could ever fit in a 4wd that size.
