      Going 90 mph with 9 year old tires in a corner is not a pro driver desicion, the mistake started as soon as they got in that car with the intent of a dangerous joy ride, and the price was high. It sucks but it's not the machinery that's at fault.

If you get into an accident from the front end with an engine it would normally take most of the impact before airbags deploy. Without an engine in the front your just relying on trunk space and air bags . May those two Rest In Peace 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 lost some great ones fr

      The Carrera GT is not rear engine. It is a mid-rear engine. Despite this many modern Porsche’s have excellent safety ratings regardless of their unique architecture. The Carrera GT is one of greatest cars ever made and despite what critics say, the fear factor is a draw for many to this car.

      @@rubberbandmandestruction390 if you Google that car the engine is behind you is my point not taking the impact first but if anything after you crash the weight from the rear would push forward but I get where you were going with the mid rear thing. You can’t tell me having a engine in the back rather then the front makes the car a safer vehicle when crashing. But my post wasn’t to focus on if a porche is safe or not but more to gear whoever reads this to think twice after purchasing any car and to be cautious so we don’t have more tragedies like the two good gentlemen we lost

      @@rubberbandmandestruction390 brother I respect your opinion but because I didn’t use the word mid before rear still makes it a “rear engine. It sits behind the seats so when you crash and momentum plunges you forward the weight of the engine will follow making the momentum that much worse. I’m not an expert on vehicle saftey but despite the excellent safety ratings, the engine behind you and trunk space/airbags rather then engine in front and airbags seems like a safer choice but that’s just my opinion 🫡

They told me about fast and furious and he sounded familiar. Later, we watched "The Fast and The Furious", and it clicked because I remember watching the racing scene. But it's sad that his life ended in such an unexpected way. I don't think it's Porsches' fault for their deaths, just the driving. factor of the crash? “. Seriously… they really stated that? If the occupants of a Porsche traveling at a mid range speed it was designed to travel cannot survive such a crash then Porsche should just stop manufacturing cars that can exceed their designed safety standards when traveling faster than the national speed limit….

  • @Bostonterrier97
    @Bostonterrier97 Год назад +1

    Tires have an expiration date. The tires on the Porsche owned and driven by Walker's friend were old and way past their expiration date. Rubber ages and over time it becomes more brittle and loses its ability to grip the road: especially on a turn. And that's what happened: the Porsche went around a turn fast; its possible that it would have been relatively safe if the tires were new even though the car was exceeding the speed limit considered safe. So the force going in the turn exceeded the tire's static friction coefficient because the rubber on the tires was old and brittle, this resulted in the tires skidding and heating up which would have reduced the tire's kinetic friction coefficient making it more slippery as the tires got hotter in the turn.
    Temperature wise the rubber on a tire has a sweet spot where the grip is optimal within a given range of temperatures, if the tires are too cold or too hot (outside of this temperature range) they will grip less.
    Similarly the age of the tire affects its ability to grip the road.
    Both the driver and passenger received enough blunt force trauma that they would have died just from that trauma alone, but the car ignited and so they burned to death along experiencing suffocation on top of their excruciating injuries from blunt force trauma.
    Every tire has a date code on its sidewall as to the year and month when it was manufactured. A tire is good for about 4-5 years after that date code.
    Tires not only have expiration dates, but they also have speed ratings as well as load ratings.
    It pays to pay close attention to one's tires as well as the condition of one's vehicle and to keep it properly maintained at all times.
