Syd was hilarious! Cookie and Bob hatfield in A country Practice with their hilarious antics and get quick rich schemes. And the insults Cookie slams Bob with classic. Was such a great show.

No offense, because criticizing someone who has passed is such a no-no. But was he drunk? At least the other acts in Mick's mix-ups had a go. This was a cringeworthy car wreck
He was a kakoda trail ww2 veteran. Certainly entitled to a beer or 2.
I often whether they hadn't fully formed the idea of what this segment was going to be yet, or whether Sid didn't fully understand when they explained it to him.
I'm sure I heard a podcast with Tony Martin talking about this a few years ago, I believe the story was that he was unwell
Unlike most of the others in this segment, he was an experienced vaudeville performer who actually could sing and play. He probably just decided to do what he wanted and to hell with these young whippersnappers. But I'd like to have seen him do 'Hot for Teacher' for real!
Mick couldnt get away with mostly passable substitutions.
