I always fill the filter a couple of times to soak the element through with oil and then fill the filter up and then screw it on, never had a problem with the oil light going out.
Fun fact - Kawasaki service manual for the first generation says not to tighten their oil filters by hand, and to use a wrench, saying "Hand tightening of the oil filter cannot be allowed since it does not reach to this tightening torque." which is 17Nn or 13ftlb. I fully intend to ignore that and go by hand anyway, but just thought it was interesting.
Is the oil burping just a thing on this bike? Over the years I've changed a lot of motorcycle oil and never had a problem and as far as I know no one has until this video. I've seen people pore oil in a new filters before installing them maybe that's why.
I see you use Penrite, as do I in my 2021 Ninja SX....... when only the best will do (I have seen the comparison tests, Royal Purple is the only one in the same league)..... I also used a K & N Oil filter, (and yes you have probably heard the same stories as me about them), I got it simply because it has a hex attachment on the end, easy to take off wherever you are no special tooling required, I have been running it for about 8000K's no problems.
The K & N filters are good, I previously used them in my other bikes, very handy with the hex attachment. Once my N1K is out of warranty the K & N filters, I never had an issue with them.
If you mean, how do you turn off the service light. There is a user setting where you can turn the user set reminder off. However if it is the Kawasaki Factory service light the dealer needs to do that. At my last service the dealer disabled the factory one for me so it wont come up again.

I agree, I have never had an issue before this bike and changed many an oil filter. Could be related.

How is the bike so far?
I have ridden just under 7000 k's in the 1 year I have owned it. Fantastic bike. Would highly recommend it to anyone considering a sports tourer.
