The Settle and Carlisle with 47593 and 37521 - 8th August 2020

Another visit to the Settle and Carlisle line to capture 47593 and 37521 in action again this time in glorious sunshine on a warm summers day. First 47593 is seen passing over Dent Head Viaduct taking the empties to Skipton. Then with the first service of the day 37521 leads over Arten Gill Viaduct with a badly timed Northern service going the other way. With the 47 leading again the service is seen on the approach to Blea Moor tunnel. The lunchtime run from Skipton sees 37521 powering on the long drag at Selside working hard on the 1 in 100 grade. At Birkett Common 47593 puts on plenty of power on the climb to Ais Gill. Finally 37521 is seen working hard at Lunds in the afternoon sun 08/08/20
