Girl I love how real you are! This is fantastic thanks for the tip!
OMG! This was one of the first vinyl tutorials I ever watched over a year ago and I've been trying to find it again! You did a great job of explaining and I never forgot the water trick. Thank you so much for this. Hope you're doing well and still making videos!
Ah yes the water tip, how smart is that, my dear you are adorable!!
You can draw a straight line with a marker over the transfer tape if you don't have an image to go by. I did that when I first started at a sign company many years ago.
Can you tell me the type of vinyl used
Your question probably was to Silhouette School, but I use Oracle 651 for permanent use like glasses and Oracle 631 for temporary like for a wall decor. I found them at Swing Design but google for the best prices.
i know Im asking randomly but does any of you know a tool to log back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any help you can give me!
@Nixon Roger instablaster ;)
Omg just what I needed. Placing water in wine glasses is a great idea!
My trick's not over. I got more. Hahahaha. Love it. Thank you for this! Super helpful.
You're just gorgeous. Simply stunning
Helpful video! I bought my first Cameo this summer and your blog and weekly newsletters have been invaluable! It's like I'm taking a Cameo class at my own pace. I've been adding vinyl decor to my classroom and making fun t-shirts the past few months. I'm totally in love with my new toy!!!
I just purchased my Cricut Explore Air 2, still have it in the box today and I'm dining to get it set up. I have been going through You Tube watching these videos on how to use my Cricut and came up on your video. I want to do some glasses and your video gave me a lot of ideas for glass. I'm in my 60's and just not getting started in crafts. I just can't wait to get started. Keep those videos rolling in. You are a great teacher.
Using the water was totally GENIUS!!! Tfs! 😊
thank you for showing how to apply vinyl to glass....it really did help :)
The clear contact paper from the dollar store does well as transfer tape. You to make sure that it picks up everything from the cut material you are transferring, but it is much easier on the other end when you are removing it from the glass (or whatever object). It comes off small letters or designs much better than the transfer tape. Just my experience...
Catherine Bosse thanks for the tip
I find it doesn't always let the vinyl go when you go to transfer it to a mug. I buy the contac kind only and have no problems
I love the water leveling trick! Thanks for sharing!
Love the way you do your vinyl it's gotta be the best one I've seen and very clear on what you're saying thanks for the tutorial
Is there a trick for items where you cannot see the water... ceramic mugs?
I totes just sent you a giant virtual hug! Bless you for this!!!!!
You are so lovely and funny! Put a smile on my face! Do you have your own channel? Fab tip and so down to earth, thank you!
Oh my gosh you are so cute and REAL. Love it!!! Great ideas.
Thank you! I think I’m ready to give it another try!!
You are super entertaining....! And very good teacher too. Thanks!
Thank you 🙏 you don’t even know how many glasses I wasted before I looked this up
Great tip, wish I had one like that for ceramic colored cups :/
Fabulous and helpful video. Many thanks. Will try out your tips x
You're so adorable. Easy to listen to. Hopefully I can work this.
I love your hair cut 💜
I love your haircut!!
Great Video but.... I could focus because my husband started laughing when you said "I CUT ONE" LOL
Thanks for the great tip!
you are amazing, THANK YOU!!
"I said heck" haha thanks for this!

Love the water trick...thank you.x
Great idea! I'm a newbie.
Lol..Love the video! My hubby is getting me one! I'm just making sure I will know how to use it! Lol
Do you have a cricut explore air 2? I'm so excited! Thank you!
I needed this tip because my 1st try was sooo crooked! Thanks a million💜
You got this!
Very helpful,thanks
Have you tried the "wet method"? I would love to see your take on this method. Where you apply vynil with water and it has some slip to move around.
Yes I have.I have a blog post on SilhouetteSchoolBlog.com for the wet method
You are so smart and creative. I like you haircut too.
Great ideas!! Thanks for this video.
You stated in the video you would list where and what kind of transfer tape you used
Brilliant!
Good tip!!!
I've used it so many times!
I like you water trick! What kind of transfer tape are you using?
Amazing
👏 awesome 😎
Thanks ✌️
‘ Rub the heck out of it ‘
great tip; heres my tip for you; have your husband nail a 1x2 to the back of your 8" ledge; stair well side; now u can feel more secure that nothing will slip over. your welcome
Thank You for the tip..
This was an excellent video. What a great way to keep things level! I have one question- I'm working on a black frosted glass lotion dispenser, so you can't see the water level. Would you have any other suggestions for this type of glass?
I would use the hinge method. This will explain it. www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/08/how-to-put-vinyl-on-curved-surface-self.html?ml_subscriber=1744782191453279699
@@SilhouetteSchool thank you so much! ☺️
Thx 4 sharing
Yes but the question is, what vinyl do you use that will not come off in the wash???
cool thanks for the ideas, luv the slit idea yea
Genius!
Another helpful tips is with thinner vynil you could get away with using the same transfer tape just as long as you keep finger for touching all the paper
u can use clear contact paper to to transfer
You are sooo cute 😍. Great tutorial
Thanks for watching!
Hello, will you be able to post the finished product?
do you like your cameo or would you prefer the cricut
Fun!
What brand of transfer transfer tape are you using again?
whats the best finish to use on permanent vinyl and wine glasses? i want a smooth finish and mod podge doesnt do it and is driving me crazy!
What kind of transfer or contact paper did you use?
Why the vinyl is falling off???
Glass cant wash :(
Can you please share the design?
I am really impressed with the tutorial but OMG I am so afraid it is going into your stairwell...LOL...
You are clever
Shut the front door!! That is the best trick ever
Love it!!
hi good nite
just turn on my cameo to cut and see this notification - connection auto paused or connection released what this mean and i have latest firmware and updated basic software
Thx u well explain I have little shot glass trying to figure out how small I should make them any suggestions
shirley otero Measure the shot-glass height and width, turn on the grid measure in your design space, use the ruler along the top and side to get the measurement that you need.
What is that black thing she is using to "rub the heck"?
squeegee
wooden spoons work really well also
Cool
Question on this.. Will this never come off when getting wet?
Kaniyahs Korner Even permanent vinyl will come off over time in your dishwasher. For that reason they recommend handwashing (and avoid prolonged soaking) any item you apply vinyl to, whether the vinyl is temporary or permanent, for the longest and best result. I hope that helps. 😊
how can we make then permanent?
My dog started whining and ran out of the room when the video started.
You sound crazy
you are so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeee...love the video!
Hi Melissa. I JUST used silhouette metallic gold vinyl on a muh. Can I use in the microwave?
Funny there is never any mention in these "educational" videos about thin glasses shattering when pressing down the decal and/or burnishing ......be careful or you will be visiting the emergency room :) So remember to choose glasses that are sturdy and NOT the cheap thin rubbish OK
This is the second vid where I hear the term "varnish"; why do you use this term?
The word is burnish. It’s when you scratch the image off the transfer tape onto the glass/mug/wood.
