It makes me feel bad ordering from Amazon, but I can't help that they have some really good stuff you can't find in local stores. I hope the workers get what they want though...
I haven't ordered from them since 2011 and have done just fine. Postal workers don't get paid for delivering Amazon packages. That's not right. And pretty soon they will keep gobbling up other companies and we will be down to just them.
Don't feel bad, this is good because it does give them work to do. The problem lies in that Amazon is unreasonable in how they want these people to do their jobs.
The problem with Amazon is prime. Being so busy trying to get packages out as fast as possible, everything else gets put on the back burner. Also: don't pay for prime. every single package they made us pack was packed and shipped out asap. there's no point in paying for prime if we have to work as fast as humanly possible for every package regardless if it's prime or not.
I have worked for Amazon in three different warehouses and as a driver I have now been working at a unionized company for over a year. Amazon is a terrible company and I hope that the union brings true change to them way to go teamsters. I hope to see the same positive effects that you provided to our company to Amazon as well.
Only reason they are striking now is because last day for shipping was 12/18 if you want your items delivered before Christmas day. This strike won't affect much if any at all since Amazon expedites most of their mail to USPS.
Amazon employee here. They treat us worse than garbage across th3 board. From denying the delivery drivers restroom stops to no heating or ac in some warehouses
My cousin used to work for Amazon delivery and explained how they have new vans and old vans and one of the vans he got did not have light or a working heater inside during the extreme winter cold in Austin TX. They informed him if someone fell behind he would be chosen to stay behind in that Un working van to help the other worker catch up.
I don't know about the wages but the working conditions and safety are the most detailed and extreme I've ever seen in shipping. I can't imagine how much safer these places can get!
Umm the big question, How does this affect MY deliveries?? How about the big question be about why they feel their lively hoods are affected so much that they will risk everything to make some sort of improvement.
The facts are there, double the unsafe working conditions compared to non Amazon warehouse’s. Corporate profits and greed out the roof, and has expedited this long awaited reaction from private labor workers.
Entry-level employees demanding bachelors, degree level pay, they already get paid more than the national minimum wage they get paid more than California’s minimum wage. They also get paid more than California’s fast food minimum wage but they say it’s still not enough?
The newscaster said the main question is would your deliveries be late... I was actually wondering why they are striking. I've heard working at Amazon is not safe and you spend your break time just walking off the floor (meaning no real breaks). I hope Amazon makes changes.
Agreeing for a wage bc they need to get the job; think more if they can’t go higher than they’ll most likely get turned down and they need a job in a quick fashion; think a lil more why doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still fight for far better wages
I agree 100. If you want more money you have to prove yourself. Also, can’t be expecting to make high wages when you’re just getting started, or just entering the workforce.
Mehhh.......I hate Union's. Look at what Union's have done to the car industry. These execs aren't taking a pay cut. The increased cost will be passed on to the consumers. We have lots of homeless people that could use the work.
Hi! 20 year old past recent Amazon employee that just got out of college here! Imagine as a grown man or woman having to race around, to look for your "supervisor" to ask "I need to use the bathroom", or "I left my keys in the break room, I need to go get them?" And the reply that you're met with is "... we're in peak season. We need everyone to be making quota." So your only option is to break the "rules" and get written up. Imagine that?
I worked for Amazon in the Warehouse for over 2 1/2 years it’s tough , the warehouse I left was trying to form a union in California. I wish them well.
There’s no reason to pay for prime I can just order things from Walmart for free
That's why amazon added video, music, and other services included with Prime.

@@jeffbrecht7623 haven’t had any issues with my packages. But ill let you know later on today since i have 3 packages arriving today
The biggest problem is that there are still people applying for those jobs, and they don’t quit soon enough when they get treated this way. That’s how these companies keep getting away with it because the victims keep coming in through their doors.
I worked for UPS 18 years ago. It was the same thing, the worst job I’ve ever had. I realized that no matter what I did nothing was going to change, so I just quit and found a better job.
I don't use Amazon. Ever.
Same... I support local stores
me too !
Nah I'm using Amazon, you ain't telling me what to do
@phurion.
I would never tell you what to do. I promise.
@@phurion. I think you have a problem with reading comprehension My friend... nobody's telling you what to do...Read the comments again...
They gotta move to a trade, these jobs will start disappearing in 3-4 years at this rate
I bet ol' Jeff isn't too happy about this and while unions can be highly corrupt, they do have their place in the work environment.
Jeff says there's going to be a lot of other fulfillment centers to take up the slack. We won't even notice that they're taking a break.
In fact, I believe that's going to be the next facility to receive automation. Bet my words
I guess what I'm pointing out is every Union that's been on strike have received layoffs on the conclusion of that strike Boeing FedEx, UPS, Starbucks and don't forget about those Union Auto worker folks
Jeff got enough money to make generational wealth of his dividends alone. I doubt he cares 😂
Consumers are just as guilty as the executives.
Good for them. But just know that the majority of Amazon's profit is from AWS and not from their online marketplace.
AWS?
Amazon Web Services.
Fulfillment generally results in a meager profit or a loss for AMZN since the late 2010s.
AWS?

This is awesome i totally support this movement!! Hopefully you can all get some better quality of life for yourselfs!
All my gifts have been delivered, and I'm done with my gift buying, so let them strike!!
$2k a week would keep anyone afloat.
And who makes 2k a week exactly @20.00 x 40 hours? 2k a week would 50 hour. Do people people actually think b4 they reply?
@@piranhalegifyyou’re only calculating 40hr weeks. Get some education to make that 2K in 40hrs.
@DemarcusQ it should if you mange your money properly and not buy hellcats and bs… they should be picketing congress for raising costs
Im with the workers on this one! Ive worked warehouse jobs before and its not easy especially this time of year! I hope the workers get what theyre seeking. Merry Christmas 2024 everyone! 💖🥰🎅🙏💖🥰🎅🙏
I can’t even get somebody to answer my call for a job and these people going on strike 😑. Answer my call i don’t give a damn about a strike.
This is why Bezos wouldn’t allow the Washington Post to endorse Harris. Man knows when to bend the knee. He’s no fool.
Millions in tax cuts for Bezos. That’s the only reason he is bending a knee.
Well also she is incompetent and ran on her gender and race as “qualifications”. Total non sense.
Do it every Holiday 😂
It makes me feel bad ordering from Amazon, but I can't help that they have some really good stuff you can't find in local stores.
I hope the workers get what they want though...
Don't feel bad .
@@SerPounceToebeans Amazon is a good company to work for
I work at Amazon and one of there best workers they should just replace these lazy workers
Let’s see how long you last buddy. Many have stood right where you stand, and you will learn the hard way.
Weird how there are so many boot lickers nowadays. Scalpers and leeches. Support your local.
Simple solution. Just fire them . Hire others who need a job. Oldest trick in the book.
That’s exactly what they are going to do. But they will do it very slowly. Just watch. 🫡
Let's be real hard labor needs to exceed education, these job are undoubtedly $40 for the stress and time
Replace them all. You choose that profession.
Couple years ago they were laying people off before the holidays now suddenly a strike?
Only reason they are striking now is because last day for shipping was 12/18 if you want your items delivered before Christmas day. This strike won't affect much if any at all since Amazon expedites most of their mail to USPS.
Bingo
Well back to shopping at stores and picking up items in person. Oh my
I’m glad I’m done shopping Christmas gifts before strike begins 😅
Amazon employee here. They treat us worse than garbage across th3 board. From denying the delivery drivers restroom stops to no heating or ac in some warehouses
Thumbnail looks like they are about to drop the hottest rap video of the year!
😂
My cousin used to work for Amazon delivery and explained how they have new vans and old vans and one of the vans he got did not have light or a working heater inside during the extreme winter cold in Austin TX. They informed him if someone fell behind he would be chosen to stay behind in that Un working van to help the other worker catch up.
How the amazon stole Christmas
You mean the Teamsters. They planned this, after all.
What a massive boost this could be for Walmart and Target.
Hundreds of unemployed will take their jobs
Damn right.. I'll take that money if they don't want it
@@Abaddon231come work for amazon & see if you still have that attitude. They’ll treat you like a number & robot !
That’s the point
This was needed, hopefully it changes the greed all through America
This didnt hurt Amazon one bit, it only ended up hurting your fellow Amazonians with the lack of demand we had fewer shifts. So nice job A holes
The facts are there, double the unsafe working conditions compared to non Amazon warehouse’s. Corporate profits and greed out the roof, and has expedited this long awaited reaction from private labor workers.
Amazon is gonna turn full robot mode😂
If they could, they already would have.
I used to do Amazon and after gas , I only make 10.75 and hour in San Diego.
Entry-level employees demanding bachelors, degree level pay, they already get paid more than the national minimum wage they get paid more than California’s minimum wage. They also get paid more than California’s fast food minimum wage but they say it’s still not enough?
Why are Amazon fresh workers not on strike??
We work 19 hours a week
Society needs to quit giving these kids participation trophies. If you don’t like your job, find another one. 🤘♾️☮️♾️🇺🇸
How does that fix the company exactly?
So this is why my orders are taking up to a week
It's supposed to be a low-paying job. It's a warehouse job.
The newscaster said the main question is would your deliveries be late... I was actually wondering why they are striking.
I've heard working at Amazon is not safe and you spend your break time just walking off the floor (meaning no real breaks). I hope Amazon makes changes.
Amazon aint paying no price lmao , the workers will pay on the other hand
Why does Amazon refuse to pay workers compensation for injured workers like myself? Madison Wisconsin
strike all they want!!! closed the facilities!!! these workers are greedy!!!!
God bless them. Worker’s across America need better pay
There is always Temu, Aliexpress and alibaba
The delivery stop is inconsequential. Repeated requests for increased compensation are unacceptable, especially considering escalating rental costs.
The ceo make billions while employees get paid scraps on my opinion scraps
No 💩! The ceo built the company of course he would. you aren’t that bright😂
I bet if you built a company and was the ceo you would pay your employees these so called scraps also😂
Womp womp go get another job then
GOOD JOB; MY FRIEND/EX CO WORKER WORKED AT AMAZON, HE TOLD ME HOW BAD IT WAS, AND HUMANS HAVE NO VALUE.
Amazon just increased wages in September across the nation. On top of that, upon hiring, you agree to a wage. So, why are you complaining?
Agreeing for a wage bc they need to get the job; think more if they can’t go higher than they’ll most likely get turned down and they need a job in a quick fashion; think a lil more why doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still fight for far better wages
bleh. why are americans so anti worker? anti themselves. it's ridic. these corporations are committing daylight robbery on the daily.
They’re trying to get paid 30 with no skills lmao
I agree 100. If you want more money you have to prove yourself. Also, can’t be expecting to make high wages when you’re just getting started, or just entering the workforce.
@@williamchilcott2833 if i was the owner i would pay them $15 lol
terrible for me, BUT good for them. they deserve BETTER.
Fire them. A whole bunch of new 'residents' just arrived looking for work.
Shoutout to all the amazon workers who are still delivering for the holidays right now. Your the real mvp's and we appreciate you.
Get more money than get laid off
Mehhh.......I hate Union's. Look at what Union's have done to the car industry. These execs aren't taking a pay cut. The increased cost will be passed on to the consumers. We have lots of homeless people that could use the work.
Santa's little helpers on strike!
Good for them !!!! stand up for your rights
Amazon saw it coming last night they gave me a delivery in a month and a half with fast delivery. Best Buy had the same deal so good for them workers
Hey kids, here is today's example of an oxymoron: Union Worker
I just go to local mom and pop shops found out a lot of times it's cheaper.
time for robots to replace these folks
STRIKE RENT NEXT AND TAXES
They're not smart enough to do that.
