    Note that - as noticed by user Madmanbrad - I did two things wrong here!
    1) The bottom section of the discharge chute must be fully opened before attaching the front support leg. This helps (a lot!) to prevent clogging...
    2) For safety, the flap on top should be tucked down inside the hopper.
    (Go check Madmanbrad's channel he's hilarious! ruclips.net/channel/UCPWjvH1fQOi42miZBlJTlSA ) 😁

    Thanks mate good to see one in full operation... I bought a second hand one and find that it's easy to clog with greens. Can you tell me why and what you were separating to your left side. Was it material that wouldnt mulch?

    • @ReflectiveYak
      @ReflectiveYak  4 года назад

      Yes on my left were some kind of vines/lianas that would just get entangled.
      Fully agree on how easily it clogs. Since then I actually removed the grid on the outlet. Helps a lot with clogging but material now comes out dangerously fast so need to direct it towards something like a thick sheet of wood for example. Then any branches that are still whole go for a second round through the side chipper. 👍

      @@ReflectiveYak Goodonya I thought of that myself (removing the screen) while doing some reno to it as the bloke I bought it off had the bottom of the exit shute fitted wrong. Haven't tried it since and will probably get around to removing the screen if it continues to clog.

      @@mirriulahwaterdog this bottom chute is actually in the wrong position too. it should be resting down on the front legs rather than up on the bolts holding said legs to machine. also the material being thrown into the mulcher hopper is WAY too thick! The mulcher uses rakers to smash small material (up to 10mm dia) and everything else should go into the side chipper. putting thick sticks into the hopper will eventually destroy the machine or at least the parts used to mulch. @Reflective Yak best off with the grate back in, lower chute corrected, hopper safety cover in correct position and use the right sized material in the top and you'll never clog again

    Hi, it sounds very noisy? Is that the case? Just thinking about it annoying neighbours if run for an hour or two.

      Peter Chilvers Yes it is very noisy. Not sure how it compares to other petrol mulchers but it would likely be annoying to close neighbours.

      I'm sticking to an electric mulcher, might buy one from Forest Master.

      Darrin Blank Start with the basics; fuel in? Oil in? Fuel valve open? Choke on? Speed set to medium?
