For 13 months spanning 1975-76, I lived in the south side of Chicago. Pepe's was my go to joint for soft tacos. *SO GOOD!* _Just as south Chicago is no longer working class Polish folks, I'm sure Pepe's isn't _*_CLOSE_*_ to being the same._
I've been going to pepes in Woodridge Illinois my whole life and I've never knew they had commercials or seen their commercials before. It's funny everything is the same in this commercial and inside the restaurant till this day.. The only thing that's changed is the waitress uniforms lol. They always had this cool Aztec designed water fountain wishing well and cool balconies above the dining hall at the Pepes I go to. Feels like you're eating in a courtyard like in the movie 3 amigos movie lol.

Ah Pepe. It sure wasn't real Mexican food but it was cheap and good.
Mexican food is one of my favorite foods and Pepe's Mexican restaurant is still around today. You have tacos, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas etc.
