You’re actually very good. I tried playing on my steam deck and was getting absolutely demolished. I typically play on PS5 so maybe I’ll feel right at home with portals controller setup.
Do you notice any delay? I tried playing remotely on my tablet with a controller and it sucked lol that's the only thing keeping me from getting one but if there's no delay I'll get one for sure!
The input delay on this is so noticeable. You have to be a very low competitive or once in a while type of COD player to either not notice or care. The way you move your joysticks and try to fine tune your aim by having to move the sticks back and forth because you are trying to compensate for the delay is hard to watch.
@@jmac_2x The input lag is there, the technology is what it is and there is no way to avoid it being a remote play device. I went to my local arcade bar with the portal and had a lot of people give it a try. The results were interesting, where the only people that said that they couldn't notice input lag were those that didn't play FPS games enough to notice or care or those that don't play COD competitively enough for them to make a difference. All the people that noticed the input lag and said they couldn't play COD like that were those that mainly play COD or FPS shooters and are very familiar with the local instant aim feel of a console or PC.
People say you cant play FPS games on the portal because of input lag. Yeah you play shittier but you can still do good. When you do go back and play on console after playing on portal you are like a god among men.
The input lag is there. Notice when the joysticks are moving and aiming how this player has to go back and forth to adjust their aim. This is because they have to conpensate for the delay it takes from when they move the joystick. I have a Portal as well and playing COD or Destiny on it is a no go.
For good almost no latency. I recommend wifi 7, 6e or wifi 5 but with over 300mbps Wifi 6 regular sucks. Constantly losing connection and it gets weak when your behind a wall. I recommend 200mbps or higher. 150 will work for non fps games
You need reliable internet like a fiber optic network for the home internet if you want decent gameplay with hotspot 5g/LTE on the portal. The portal streams your data off the ps5, so the base gotta have extreme good internet.
Mannnnn I'm this 🤏close to buying a portal!!
Like Nike says, “Just Do It”
You bought it yet? And hows cod on portal?
@@youngking760 amazing!
@youngking760 na man I don't wanna deal with the latency

Thanks ma boy💪🏻
I believe also the aim assist on the handheld devices is different than actual controllers on consoles which is a big factor
You just need your play a little more until your fingers naturally calibrate.
Where did you the case for the portal looks nice
From SHEIN, it took like 3 weeks to arrive but worth the wait
I have the same one. Comes with case, Screen protector and thumb sticks

There is a delay only from the image, but the response from the bottons of the portal is inmediatly✨ worth the money absolutly

There’s actually zero input lag when I play

Can I ask how you pulled that off what’s your set up to achieve no lag
Just an internet service with 300mb, dual band and 5g red, no issues🤘🏻

What is your internet speed?
What I don’t like about it it stays on your tv screen so ya can’t really do anything else honestly
unplug hdmi from ps5. It is not needed to cast to the portal and tv can be used for something else.

do you need a beast wifi or it will be good with a regular wifi ?
