I thought I'd already c9mmented on this one, but I was wrong. Your Berry successful trips of late inspired me to go and float it. I didn't do nearly as well as you and Bruce, but I ended up with some fish. Even got one of those black and gold tubes donated to me by another RUclipsr(MountainLifeOutdoors) and that chased off the skunk. Nice work. Strawberry is great when it's producing.
Yessir I have been really happy with the fishing up there the past month or so!! Such a fun place to look for some big ones, or just catch a bunch of fish. This fall is gonna be 🔥!
@greg8544 hey Greg!! I don’t flatten barbs. I just have lots of practice unhooking fish. I like to grab the bend on the hook and just kind of pop it and the fish usually unhooks pretty easily!
Other than the annoying background music, which really is not needed, I enjoyed watching. It looks like you were fishing down off the road to the dam on the Soldier Creek side. I am surprised at the water clarity; I thought it would still be pea soup. The wife and I will have to make a trip up there.
Thanks for the feedback-I do appreciate it. I was up there yesterday and the water had drastically changed. It is definitely turning over. It’s worth a trip for sure.
As of late they are grabbing it right when I first move it off the bottom. I think they see it sinking and go to check it out. Dead stick is not really working. Just sink to the bottom and reel in slow with some little jigs and pauses.
I am super excited just received my tubes that you have been using Thanks. I am going camping this weekend there is this the soldier creek side or Haws point if you do not mind me asking?
@@troutcatchingjedi81 Love this video it is so awesome. I really want to use something instead of power bait. Are you able to tell me where your fishing. @@greggjohnson5458 hey Greg! I understand worrying about the terrain, these techniques would work anywhere this time of year as the fish are coming near shore to feed!
@@KBBOUTDOORS yessir that would be awesome!! Yes I love throwing keitechs. That was the second best producer this day. The one I use in the video is one of my favorites!!
@@marcopedraza89 hey Marco!! So this day we were sinking to the bottom and then reeling in slowly. Later in the day they were swimming near the surface, so that let me know to fish the top of the water. It does depend on the day and also changes during the day. If you can see fish, fish the top of the water. If not try the bottom. If that doesn’t work they are somewhere in the middle!!💪🏼
Dang dude that is rough! I went back up today and the bite was a little tougher than it was last week, but we still did well. The fish are suspended-at least that’s what we saw today. Very little activity off the bottom today.
@@troutcatchingjedi81 makes sense I busted my bait caster last week at yuba and only had my powerbait pole and it was dead but yeah if they are suspended wouldn’t have got em without my other pole and my jigs…. Thank you much for your help Trout guy! I am going there on thursday to try your technique and thank you.
2 years a go we had 4 guys on a boat and caught 250 plus in one day!! That’s my favorite place to fish in the fall
Glad I’m not the only one who brings those clickers fishing 😂

Bring on the fall bite!! Great session on the Berry. Need to replenish my SIO tubes. Nice buster! Post-Bruce time was on fire.
Yessir Stacy we love this time of year!! Very smart move to re-up!!! 💪🏼💪🏼
where are you fishing?
Soldier creek side. I look for places that are hard to get to-if you’re fishing a place that gets slammed it’s a bit more difficult!
Yes yes yes the turn is here!!! Love your videos you are the BEST
Thank you Dana!!🙏🏼
You have that lake figured out!
I wouldn’t go that far-ya never know what the next trip will hold-but this day I certainly had em dialed!!🔥 thank you Andrew!!
God damn, what an absolute incredible day!
Yessir it was one for the books. Not the best day I’ve had, but right up there close!!💪🏼
Dude can you do a video on your set up to fish like you were in the video and how to set it up!!
Maybe even a little on the cadence too!
I caught a 29 inch cut there!
Nice dude-that is a heck of a fish!!🔥
Really enjoy your videos. Could you tell me what Keitech lure your using?
Thanks
Thank you Greg! It’s a lost creek pro swim bait 3.8” ss shad color. I picked it up at sportsman’s
Do you by chance flatten the barbs on your hooks? You make it look easy when removing the lure.

Awesome video you are killing it. Are you just letting the tube sit at the bottom or jigging it in?

Good choice with those tubes!! You should catch with them!!! I never fish Haws-super overrated in my opinion!

What is the luer you are using ?
Send it outdoors bite size tube-black/gold paired with 3/16 oz jig head

Hey Isaiah!! Depends on the day. Recently the bite ha been best from about 8am until noon.
What size jig do you use with the swim bait?
