My best memories of Cabot have always been in inclement weather. Glad to see you back on the summits.

Thank you, happy to be back! Yeah Cabot feels like a good one for bad weather. That was part of the reason I chose it, knowing the forecast.

Lol @ sweaty mess! Humidity kills it!! Plenty of water though which is always nice, and mild bug presence even better!!

I really enjoyed the ascent. It was fun with the river alongside.

That looks kind of refreshing compared to the dry heat 😅 The trails look really cool. Glad the knee is holding up. 👍

Thanks, yes the knee did well. This was actually my third day of hiking up there and I really didn't experience any sore/stiffness until the end of my five hour drive home. Overall really happy with how it felt. I credit yoga over the last two months.

I guess that water was following the path of least resistance...and it happened to be the trail. Makes a pretty good test of footwear for sure, but not the most fun, especially trying to clean up an Otis afterward! lol

Ew yeah a dog would be absolutely gross after that trail!

It must have rained hard! The trail looked slick with all the water. Glad you made it without incident.

It was pouring for quite awhile the afternoon before and then it opened up again at 10:45 AM (woke me up). Torrential!

I spent last week backpacking in the pouring rain at Carrigain. It was a Type II Fun experience similar to this for sure. This weekend looks dicey as well, gonna head up the Twins and maybe Waumbek. Buddy of mine I'm going with is on his 48 home stretch, so the remaining peaks are chosen for me. Home stretch for round 4 for you, thats great!
The NB shorts and gaiters look is baller! Glad to see your knee is letting you do this again.

Oh yeah I bet you got dumped on at Carrigain. My wife says it looks like I'm wearing hooker boots in this video, haha.

East Branch (Saco) for my daughter and me this past Saturday. Like this and yours, only much wetter. With all those 5 foot ferns it was like a car wash. And the mud was like the Blazing Saddles quicksand scene 😂

Cabot is not my favorite for sure. If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do the loop so I can at least get the views from The Horn. But not sure it'd be worth it on a day like that.

Chasing lists definitely provides a little extra motivation. Actually I really enjoyed the climb up. The river was impressive. And I like the challenge of poor conditions.
