    That's how a real remaster must be done! more animation frames, more colors, more levels, new characters and better music.

      It’s not a remaster. This is a total remake with all new sprites for all the characters and new backgrounds.
      I feel like remaster completely undersells how much they’ve done with this, since it implies they’re just touching up the SNES game as opposed to completely redoing it.

    1- the snes version still looks amazing even after decades of it's release!
    2- the switch version is such an amazing update in every single way possible.
    bottom line ? this is an amazing game to play of both systems!

      É porque o objetivo de cada jogo é diferente: Ninja Saviours é um REMASTER do clássico de Super Nintendo, enquanto Battletoads é um REBOOT da franquia. O objetivo dos jogos são completamente diferentes.

    • @ClevertonHeusner
      @ClevertonHeusner 3 года назад +21

      @@JornadaGamer Pra mim, reboot é apenas uma palavra que inventaram para usar como pretexto para descaracterizar franquias.
      Por alguma razão, as pessoas tendem a relevar coisas que possuem algum rótulo. Outro exemplo é a palavra homofobia. Ninguém se importava muito com piadas sobre gays até cunharem um termo que passou a ser utilizado para manter o rebanho.
      Enfim, reboot é só uma desculpa pra desvirtuar uma marca de sua essência e justificar sua venda. Usar essa palavra como argumento soa raso demais pro meu gosto. Outro argumento que você utilizou foi que os objetivos dos jogos são completamente diferentes. Isso pra mim não faz o menor sentido. O que faz de um beatem'up com sapos não merecer um remaster, e sim um reboot (terminho inventado pra destruir coisas)? Conta pra mim.

The graphics/sounds/controls are obviously improved over the original (which is still a gem 15-20 years later), but it's still faithful to the bones of the game.

    Well, I have to say, the Switch version is a great remaster, very faithful to the original, let there be no doubt of its great quality, BUT, I definitely prefer the sound of the SNES version by far. The new soundtrack is very well adapted, with real instrumentation, and it´s OK, but c´mon! listen that POWERFUL bass and synth, so characteristic and retro of the 80's and 90's era with the SNES sound chip version! 16-bit sound at its best! Especially the intro and the character selection screen, they sound much louder and badass, perfect for the game 1:24 to 2:22. The remaster loses a lot of steam on the soundtrack, but for everything else, it's a great adaptation. This is the reason why I still love the SNES, because it´s still capable of giving a good fight even to a new generation console such as the Switch. Don´t get me wrong, I am not saying that SNES is better console, that is illogical, they cannot be compared in power, graphics or performance, but the retro style always has a touch of magic and excellence that seems almost impossible to replicate even today, the true magic of the wonderful 80's and 90's! I really miss and love those old years.

      @GamebroTV There are some quirky differences from what I've noticed, but nothing major that I imagine would matter to most people. Such as the remaster removing the time limit, which can in later levels impact the difficulty because you can't be as patient with some of the trickier sections as the remaster allows. Or that a lot of the additions, such as new moves and characters, aren't particularly necessary despite adding more variety in both how the game plays and the options available to you.
      Either way, both are incredible games, and which is better in somebody's opinion is ultimately going to boil down to nitpicking.

      They may have needed to zoom out the camera a bit to apply the widescreen ratio while maintaining the original game's scale. It may have also been done to be able to fit more on the screen since they added a two-player mode, not to mention there's a new playable character of gargantuan stature that may not have even fit properly on the screen had they not.

    Is the original snes port included in the switch cart? I really hope so because i find myself liking the look and feel of that one much more. It’s similar to what i felt when i played marvel vs capcom 2 in the 16:9 enhanced mode on ps3... so basically i always found myself going back to the 4:3 original mode that the game was designed to play in. I find that these retro games feel empty and less grand once you remove the 4:3 walls and give them the extra 16:9 space that they were not actually designed to be played in and makes the game feel smaller than it should be. This is Just my opinion but definitely makes a huge difference for me and many other retro gamers out there i am sure.

    One of the most disturbing endings in video game history.
    Two new characters, one is a mix between female shinobi and blade arm shinobi, and one is a boss. This game deserves more attention.
    Along with Toki, Ninja Warriors was revived when no one expects.

      What? The backgrounds are way more detailed and theres more frames in the animations.
      Only thing that I'm not too fond about is the perspective being further back. I like huge character sprites beating each other up. Maybe something derived from the NeoGeo era.

    • @homiedclown
      @homiedclown 3 года назад +1

      The unique "hook" of the original Ninja Warriors arcade game is that it used 3 monitors, so it had a super wide aspect ratio. The SNES obviously can't replicate that, so when it was ported you pretty much just get the center monitor portion on the SNES. The Switch tries to better replicate the triple screen aspect ratio and therefore appears more zoomed out because of it.

    • @alxxz
      @alxxz 3 года назад

      @@homiedclown Yeah but this is not the arcade version of Ninja Warriors, but the unique Ninja Warriors Again exclusive to the SNES it's not a port, so it never had a wide aspect ratio originally. They could have maintained the larger sprites and a wide ratio simultaneously on the Switch. Great game none the less!
