His shaky vocals do add charachter to the song, but lets not forget the fact he's probably one of the best guitar players there is. Watching him unleashed with a tele or an SG is something beautiful. He's good beyond belief
I am a very beginner at guitar and i started learning in may and i got it in only a few months of practicing occasionally, it’s september now and i can play the whole song without looking
i absolutely adore him. he's too down to earth and just wholesome. he seems quite nervous because he messes up a bit at some parts and that's totally adorable. love u gra xx ♥️
actually this song is for damon and that is why graham sing it under table when he records it , and awkwardly damon's here too, in same show.. this show was named keeping it peel 2004, and damon also sings blur songs which is strange news from another star. :)
Found out about John Peel through this video. I also listen to Joy Division and such, so I always thought that a "Peel Session" was a recording of a song in some sort of studio and that version didn't make it through to album. Now it all makes sense. So I just want to thank John Peel for doing so much for music overall. Rest in peace.
omg i just love that song it makes me cry :( its the first song i think of when i want to sing anything,, and i feel the light in the night and in the day
''You are so great' Sad, drunk, and poorly Sleeping really late Sad, drunk, and poorly Not feeling so great Wandering lost in a town full of frowns Sad, drunk, and poorly Dogs digging up the ground And I feel the light In the night and in the day And I feel the light When the sky's just mud and gray And I feel the light When you tell me, it's okay 'Cause you're so great, and I love you Tea, tea and coffee Helps to start the day Tea, tea and coffee Shaking all the way City's alive and, surprise, so am I Tea, tea and coffee Get no sleep today And I feel the light In the night and in the day And I feel the light When the sky's just mud and gray And I feel the light When you tell me, it's okay 'Cause you're so great, and I love you
ChoccoBocco, that was beautifully said and I couldn't agree more. Trying to compare them isn't right, because they're both extremely talented in their own ways. And when together they obviously do a superb job!
I love Graham... "And I feel the light in the night and in the day And I feel the light When the sky's just mud and grey And I feel the night when you tell me it's OK Coz you're so great and I love you ... Thanks for upload this beatiful song!
its cool that he can hit that high note on the word "light" live but in the recording they make him sound like he's really straining to get it...which is a compliment..great song, great artist!
yes...well, they had a huge fight and Graham wrote this song after the fight...so in a way, it's for Damon. I read it from his thumblr. Oh, and Damon also wrote a song for Graham (after he left the band) called "sweet song".
Graham es en realidad un romántico de lo peor,es un alma sensitiva,un ser irremediablemente poético. Esta canción se la he dedicado a mi novia y posiblemente ninguna otra tenga un mensaje tan directo como el que deseaba expresar. You`re so great and I love you.
it's actually a pretty hard song to sing if you've ever tried it because you need to sound vunerable and weak ;) and even on the record he sounds a little bit off, which makes the song so affecting imo
He's definitely saying GT [gin & tonic] and coffee... He liked alcohol and used to be in a band that wrote a lot about alcohol. That and he's clearly saying GT...
I love this song, this is an amazing performance :D ... I've learned to play and sing it (however I'm not a very good singer :( ) ... and is it me, or does Graham get a couple of chords in the chorus? Im not picking on him, just saying because I get those chords mixed up a lot.
im pretty sure this is the only time hes played this live. there might be another time, cuz i remember downloading another acoustic version from all over me site. must play it in july if u ask me
Blur played it live at the Brighton center UK in 1997. I was there. Graham looked really nervous and Damon gave him a cuddle or pat on the back, if my memory serves me correct!
His shaky vocals do add charachter to the song, but lets not forget the fact he's probably one of the best guitar players there is. Watching him unleashed with a tele or an SG is something beautiful. He's good beyond belief
can't stop replaying. he's so humble, and his shaky voice sounds just brilliant. now all i wanna is to cuddle him, aww
Graham got the most clever guitars in the music industry. You cant just get his riffs and how he plays his guitar. GRAHAM IS A GENIUS.
I used to drink coffee every morning like really early and listen to this it was so great
One of my favourites songs of maybe my favourite Blur album!!and his vocals are just beautiful, so much soul in it!!
holy shit, Graham, I love you so much
Ohhh Graham is a gem, we must protect him!
best guitarist ever. he doesn't need to wank the guitar to make a great song
I think he's the most sincere of Blur. It's a pleasure to listen to him playing and singing. I don't even mind the false notes cos it's just Graham!
I love Graham’s voice so much and he is an incredible guitarist.
this song is so hard on guitar i need to learn this
I am a very beginner at guitar and i started learning in may and i got it in only a few months of practicing occasionally, it’s september now and i can play the whole song without looking
this is one of my most favourite songs ever. probably the best on Blur's self-titled album. or at least the most sincere.
i absolutely adore him. he's too down to earth and just wholesome. he seems quite nervous because he messes up a bit at some parts and that's totally adorable. love u gra xx ♥️
actually this song is for damon and that is why graham sing it under table when he records it , and awkwardly damon's here too, in same show.. this show was named keeping it peel 2004, and damon also sings blur songs which is strange news from another star. :)

Grande Graham!
''You are so great'
Sad, drunk, and poorly
Sleeping really late
Sad, drunk, and poorly
Not feeling so great
Wandering lost in a town full of frowns
Sad, drunk, and poorly
Dogs digging up the ground
And I feel the light
In the night and in the day
And I feel the light
When the sky's just mud and gray
And I feel the light
When you tell me, it's okay
'Cause you're so great, and I love you
Tea, tea and coffee
Helps to start the day
Tea, tea and coffee
Shaking all the way
City's alive and, surprise, so am I
Tea, tea and coffee
Get no sleep today
And I feel the light
In the night and in the day
And I feel the light
When the sky's just mud and gray
And I feel the light
When you tell me, it's okay
'Cause you're so great, and I love you

Few fuck ups but it hadn't been played in a while. Always liked this song, especially the slide solo.
@JiffySpook That's just sortof Graham, you know? You watch all the videos of him, he always seems reserved and shy. He is brilliant though.
He's definitely saying GT [gin & tonic] and coffee... He liked alcohol and used to be in a band that wrote a lot about alcohol. That and he's clearly saying GT...
He's saying tea tea
please i want blue come back!
was this the only live performance of the song?
i really really love this song....so touching
Hola amiga bendiciones te dejo mi granito de arena #14

absolutely amazing song. kinda miss the solo though. the solo is great.
I love this song, this is an amazing performance :D ... I've learned to play and sing it (however I'm not a very good singer :( ) ... and is it me, or does Graham get a couple of chords in the chorus? Im not picking on him, just saying because I get those chords mixed up a lot.

@@Uruseiyatsura44 love getting notifications from such old comments. blast from the past. thanks bro.
is he really singing 'tea tea and coffee'??
+Petra Poncarová yess
GT (gin and tonic) and coffee - the song is about alcoholism and someone loving you regardless of your problems
***** thank you for that info
ahhh thanks backs
I think it’s DT
when was this recorded?
are you serious it sounds so much like damon though
wuauuuu !!! blur togheter in Hyde Park!!!!
can't wait!
I heard somewhere that Graham said it was "GT and coffee" as in gin and tonic. Idk.
I'd like to know too. Try googling the tabs for it, the authors might give you a clue. It has weird tuning, that's all I know.
he sing most of my girlfriend and I's song
It's DT and coffee mate, no question about it!
I totally thought that was Damon too
I'm pretty much sure Graham wrote it
and DT stands for daytime television, I assume?
i feal like crap i never knew that he is who sings in this song... & i gave all the credit to damon till now :(
I initially thought it was "drink tea and coffee"
