    Saw one at the dealer today. Nice looking machine and that's from someone who usually doesn't like the Triumph look. It's quite expensive and IMHO has enough performance to really need the 2nd front disk.

    • @TheMissendenFlyer
      @TheMissendenFlyer  7 лет назад +2

      Yeah I agree, the brakes do need a bit of an upgrade for the next iteration....Triumph is pretty good at listening to it's customers so let's see what happens...

    Took one out for a test ride a few weeks back. Absolutely gorgeous to look at and listen to. I'd love to have one for posing around and simply admire, but sadly I need a proper commuting bike which this isn't. As you say, fine in town but 70% of my commute is motorway which would become painful. That said, come the lottery win I'll have one in the garage.

    I swapped my 2015 Street Triple Rx for the Bobber, in ironstone, and I absolutely love it! It's agile and goes like stink, and sounds amazing. The riding position takes a little adjusting to but isn't weird or uncomfortable, I just couldn't find the pegs in the beginning. I do not regret my decision at all. 10:14 Surely it's 'aitch' mate. Cheerio and all that. Great test though - I rode one last week for a few hours, and I agree with what you've said. Apart from the front brake which requires a good handful to haul up from high speed, and the short travel of the suspension it suited me perfectly. The only problem I have is having to sell my Street Triple R to help fund the purchase. I wish I could keep both. :-)

      Sports Cars aren't practical either, they are what they are ... this is a bike made to do one thing, cruise around the country roads in Sunny weather - it's everything I'm looking for. Yes, shame about the tiny fuel capacity, but it also keeps the Bike honest to its purpose in my view.

    Good initial review Sir. I like the looks, ('cept, like yourself, the fake carbs,) and am actually considering one as a future purchase. Lack of braking power is a bit off-putting for me though, although I guess there will be upgrades available that might improve feel/power. Looks lovely and It would make sense in downtown Miami which I assume is Triumphs main aim. Nowhere to put your girlfriend though. Harley got caned in the US press recently for still only fitting a single disk on some of their bikes and that's a really bad decision from Triumph. • @TheMissendenFlyer

    Really enjoying your channel mr flyer, a couple of questions for you....1. How would you compare this to the street twin? 2. When will you be reviewing the new street triple?

      +Anonymous Biker Cheers AB - yes I am a fan of Triumph bikes as you've gathered, not only that but they are the only manufacturer to come to me and ask if I'd like to borrow their bikes on long term loan to review - in my book that makes them good eggs! :0)

    I'm a great Triumph fan, but sadly not their cruiser range - best left to HD, India and Victory I feel? Very well made though and a great engine coz it's the same as my T120 :-) Regards, Jon.

    Just catching up with some of your videos. I think I’m going to come to your local area, hire a Kia C’eed and try and taunt every biker I see in the hope that it could be you ! Never realised you had so much stored venom and repressed anger........ha, ha. I’m glad we are adding to your pet hate catalogue, along with white vans and Nissan Figaros. Great video review as ever.

      Choosing between this one and a Nine T, went to that one, and only changed the turning lights put smaller, a few years later, little else would change! This motorcycle is like a Land Rover Defender, the less you modify it, the more beautiful it gets. And it never ceases to be beautiful!

    Hey TMF, wonderful review as always. Love the look of the bike even though it isn't practical for my purposes. Picking up my first bike this month and I live in a country where the price disparity between brands and models are staggering... the BMW r9t, yamaha mt10, Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and 2017 Harley roadster are all within the same price bracket here which makes it really really hard to choose. The Yamaha tracer was on my final list but it's like 1000$ cheaper than the rest so not exactly the value it is else where in the world. Your recommendation would be very very welcome. Yes I know the bikes are in different categories and I am just looking for a machine that makes me smile and will let just let me ride and sadly only Harley's offer test rides here so I am going in blind with the rest. I think it's worth mentioning I am 6ft 1 and weigh around 100kgs.

    • @TheMissendenFlyer
      @TheMissendenFlyer  7 лет назад

      +Jebby Rajan wow no test rides? WTF?? My vote would be the MT10....where in the world are you???

    • @jebbymr
      @jebbymr 7 лет назад

      In Bahrain :) it's a wonderful country but the bike scene is a bit slow here. Harley's are the top sellers here. MT10 is what I have my eye on too but it's not value packed here. It costs more than the BMW! Harley's what's got my vote on customer service.

    This is a great bike. My choice for my first bike is this or the trident 660. Two very different bikes of course. I prefer this one over trident. But there is the cost difference. Ill test em both. Great review.

      @@TheMissendenFlyer ok. One last question. 2021 street twin compared to trident 660. Again very different bikes. I’m very drawn to the all black street twin. Will it be as much fun to ride as the trident. Yes. I will test them both of course in the spring

    Hey I loved this review and the way you rode the bike, looked like fun. I'm wondering since the bike is low, can you take a turn at about 50mph? Not super sharp nor an easy wide turn, something in the middle. I don't see anyone putting their knee down a little and I wonder if the bike can handle it or if they just don't ride in that matter. I know it's not a sports bike but if it can handle turns at that pace man it seems like it can be a keeper.i ask since I've seen a lot of feelers scraping in other vids so I assume leaning more over the bike can help but since it's low I wonder how much it can help. I've considered how I would be able to raise it up a little but idk if that's possible considering its unique suspension
