This silent film 1912( I have put some music in the back and English translation) is devoted to the business of the wood carver. Interspersed with explanatory boxes, sequences filmed in a workshop of industry and craft
schools offer different types of wood, tools (gouges, bevels, chisels) as well as the activities of workers and apprentice sculptors (wood cutting , sculpture of a panel of walnut furniture). a sequence in close-up detail of a sculpture piece.

Ce film muet d'orientation professionnelle est consacré au métier de sculpteur sur bois. Alternant avec des cartons explicatifs, les séquences filmées dans un atelier d'industrie et dans une école professionnelle présentent les différents types de bois, les outils (gouges, biseaux, burins) ainsi que le travail des ouvriers et des apprentis sculpteurs (débitage du bois, sculpture d'un panneau de meuble en noyer ).Une séquence en gros plans détaille la sculpture d'un chapiteau.

Heya, You have a helpful video here. The most comprehensive woodworking plans that I have ever used was Toms Magic Wood (just google it). Without a doubt it contains the most incredible woodworking plans that I have ever tried.
